Oriental Turkey Pitas

1 medium red pepper, julienned

3 green onions, sliced

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 T. canola oil

1/2 tsp. cornstarch

1/2 to 1 1/2 tsp. curry powder

1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

1/3 cup water

2 T. soy sauce

1 T. honey

1 tsp. sesame oil

3 cups shredded cooked turkey

4 pita breads, halved

In a nonstick skillet, saute red pepper, onions, and garlic in oil until vegetables are tender. Sprinkle with cornstarch, curry powder, and cayenne. Stir to blend. Add water, soy sauce, honey and sesame oil. Stir to blend. Add turkey and bring to boil. Cook until slightly thickened. Spoon into pita halves.
