Pasta with Light Alfredo Sauce

1 lb. fettuccine or linguine

1 1/2 T. butter

3 cloves garlic

1 1/2 T. flour

2 cups skim milk

3 T. light cream cheese

1/2 cup (2 ounces) grated Parmesan cheese

2 T. chopped fresh parsley

Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and keep warm.

In saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add garlic, cook and stir for 30 seconds. Blend in flour, cook and stir 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk.

Cook and stir until thick and mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat, stir in cheese and parsley. Stir until cheese melts. Toss with pasta. 6-8 servings
