Baked Ziti and Meatball Casserole

16 oz. ziti or penne pasta

4 cups tomato-basil pasta sauce

1 egg

1 container part-skim ricotta cheese

2 T. Parmesan cheese

1 T parsley

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

8 meatballs

4 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese, about 1 cup

Prepare pasta as directed and drain. Add 3 cups sauce reserving 1 cup. In medium bowl combine egg, cheese, parsley, salt and pepper.

Preheat oven to 400°. In 13x9" glass baking pan, spoon half the past mixture. Top with sliced meatballs. Drop cheese mixture by spoonfuls evenly over meatball layer. Add remaining pasta and top with reserved tomato sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake uncovered 25 minutes until lightly browned.
