Finger Paints
3 T. sugar
2 cups cold water
1/2 cup cornstarch
Food coloring
Mix sugar and cornstarch; add water. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until thickened and blended. Divide into 4 or 5 portions and color each. Add a pinch of detergent in each portion.
Almost Silly Putty
1 cup while school glue
3/4 liquid starch
Pour glue into plastic container, add starch. Stir. Allow to set awhile. Stir or knead with hands. Wipe a little starch on hands if mixture sticks to hands. Keep in refrigerator. Food coloring can be added.
Great Smelling Soft Modeling Clay
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup salt
2 pkg. dry unsweetened Kool-Aid
2 cups boiling water
3 T. oil
Mix dry ingredients. Mix liquids together; add dry ingredients. Stir until it forms a ball. It will appear as if it will never make a smooth mixture. As it cools it will become less sticky. Knead until smooth.
