Crunchy Romaine Salad

1 head Romaine lettuce

1 head broccoli

4 green onions, chopped

1 pkg. Ramen noodles, broken

1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped

2 T. butter


1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup red wine vinegar

1/2 cup salad oil (canola or olive oil)

1 1/2 tsp. soy sauce

1/4 tsp. salt

A little black pepper

Heat sugar and vinegar until sugar is dissolved. Add the rest of ingredients. Cool.

Fry Ramen noodles and pecans in butter until toasted. Cool. Cut up lettuce and broccoli. Add onions. Before serving, toss with dressing and add pecans and noodle mixture.
