Big city entertainment can be found in a comfortable, small-town atmosphere by checking out concerts and events at the DC Performing Arts Center.
It is located on Highway 12 on the east end of the DC High School, just west of Cokato.
In the past year, the DC Arts Asociation hosted several popular acts including the Minnesota Orchestra and its conductor Osmo Vänskä (inset), pianist Lorie Line, country singer John Berry, Lake Wobegon Brass Band, comedians Scott Novotny and Mary Rowles, and the a capella group Tonic Sol-fa.
After that, the Children’s Theater Company will present “Huck Finn,” Saturday, May 5, 2 p.m.
The 800-seat, air-conditioned auditorium is designed for the comfort of those who attend different functions.
The state-of-the art sound and light equipment gives the experience of being in a professional theatre.
Join the Dassel-Cokato Arts Association for a minimum of $20 a year and receive advanced ticket sales, mailings, voting privileges at annual meetings, tax-deductible charitable donations, and other special opportunities.
