
Many come to Winsted for inspiring Christian music from top artists

The Higher Ground music festival was started in 2005 and features Christian musical artists.
Higher Ground is also an annual music festival, which is a fundraising event for Holy Trinity Catholic Schools in Winsted and is staffed by hundreds of volunteers from the school and the community.
The festival takes place every August and takes place on the same grounds as Winstock, just outside of Winsted.
The Higher Ground festival has had several prominent artists such as Michael W. Smith, Rebecca St. James, MercyMe, and Jars of Clay grace its stage.
For its third year, the festival will feature Third Day, Super Chic[k], Go Fish, and many more.

Festivals, concerts, and parades are enjoyed several times throughout the year in Winsted, which feature anything from canoe races, dunk tanks, and games of all kinds.
