The spring Howard Lake Expo draws crowds
Snap out of the winter blues with a chance to get out of the house, be entertained, eat a free breakfast, and learn what local Howard Lake businesses have to offer Saturday, March 15, 2008.
The town’s business expo will take place at the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted High School gym.
It offers members of the community a chance to get out and learn more about their community and the businesses in them. The business expo also grants local employers a chance to showcase their skills and network with fellow businessmen and potential clients in their own hometown.
Sponsored by the Howard Lake Business Association, the expo will feature a free breakfast, food court, door prizes, and entertainment from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The experience starts with the pancake and sausage breakfast, featuring Grandpa Ittel’s Meats’ sausage which drew 1,300 people last year. The breakfast will be served from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
From specialized fields, like health and medical, to general, there will be about 60 to 70 booths to peruse throughout the morning.
Performances by a dance team and the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Jazz Band are being planned.
Also planned is a food shelf collection for Wright County Community Action Food Shelf.
Entrance into the event is free, as well as the breakfast. There is no need to register, just come and explore.
