AgStar monitors risk 365 days a year
By Jennifer Gallus
Farm operators are increasingly incorporating risk management plans into their daily operations, and AgStar Financial Services responded to that need by introducing a program this summer called Risk Management Solutions: 365 Days a Year.
“RMS 365 is an awareness campaign for our clients to understand that AgStar is looking at their risk management needs every day,” said Risk Management Team Leader Greg Eaton, who works out of the Mankato AgStar corporate office. “We are here through the ups and down of business cycles, and a true partner with our clients.”
“Generally we have found that a year-round focus allows us to discuss business matters when the time is right for our clients,” Eaton continued. “We aren’t dictating to them when we should discuss their risk management needs, but rather proactively engaging them when the time is right for our clients. The desired results would be that we have meaningful, well thought out conclusions that enhance their well being in business and family.”
AgStar has numerous offices located throughout Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin, with its Glencoe office as the closest location serving this area.
Some may remember when Farm Credit Services of St. Cloud and Farm Credit Services of Southern Minnesota merged in 1998 to form AgStar Farm Credit Services. In 2000, the name changed to AgStar Financial Services, and in 2002, Farm Credit Services of Northwest Wisconsin merged into AgStar.
Although the name has evolved over the years, AgStar continues to be part of the Farm Credit System. As a Farm Credit entity, those eligible for loans, leases, and related services quality if:
