Meeker County Auditor

Barbara Loch

Why are you running for this particular office?

So that I may continue to provide leadership and service to the citizens of Meeker County through the experience gained the past eight years as your elected county auditor.

What do you think are two major issues at this time, and what do you propose to do about them?

The auditor serves as the chief election official for the county. In this capacity, the auditor is responsible for training election judges, ballot preparation, testing voting equipment, providing for absentee voting, and compiling election day results.

My goal is to continue to provide leadership to achieve the highest level of efficiency and accuracy possible.

The auditor’s office is responsible for a wide variety of duties, including maintaining the county’s financial records, county payroll, employee benefits, calculating property taxes, collection of delinquent taxes, along with forfeiting property for non-payment of taxes.

State statutes describe the specific procedures and laws that need to be followed. It is important to be accountable to every detail and maintain the proper records for retention and public accessibility.

As technology becomes available, my goal is to continue to make our office as efficient as possible.

Why should you be elected?

I have been honored to have been your county auditor for the past eight years and wish to continue to work hard to serve you as a dedicated leader.
