|BOARD OF EDUCATION SPECIAL BOARD MEETING
Tuesday March 3, 2015
HLWW HS Media Center
The March 3, 2015 Special School Board meeting of the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted ISD #2687 was called to order at 6:10pm. by Chairperson Wiech. After the pledge of allegiance, roll was taken with the following members present: Wiech, Heuer, Tintes, Bush, Diers and Kocher. Also present were Superintendent Brad Sellner, and Board Secretary Marilyn Greeley.
(Item IV) Heuer motioned to approve the agenda; Tintes seconded; passed unanimously.
(Item V) Sellner indicated after several meetings with Janell Bullard, MAWSECO Special Ed Director, Scott Johnson and Kyle Walter- ICS Consultants, Jim Wilson and Megan Dallas-Wendel Architects, Greg Crowe and Gary Olson-Ehlers Financial Advisors, and the School Board Building Committee all recommend this proposal. Sellner also indicated they have discussed the proposal with MDE. All the member districts of MAWSECO have approved moving forward with the project. Sellner reviewed the project which included demolishing, renovating and adding to areas of the current facility which MAWSECO is leasing. Scott Johnson and Kyle Walter, ICS Consulting representatives, reviewed their proposals for the project. Jim Wilson, Wendel Architect representative, introduced Megan Dallas who is also working on the project, indicated their agreement would be an addendum to the District’s current agreement with their firm. Greg Crowe, Ehlers Financial Consultant representative, reviewed information about lease purchasing agreements.
