CITY OF HOWARD LAKE

CHAPTER 11.03

AMENDING CITY OF HOWARD LAKE REGULATION OF MAIL BOXES

BY AMENDING SAID ORDINANCE

IN ITS ENTIRETY

SECTION 1. No person or property owner shall erect or cause to be erected or installed a box for the delivery of mail on any property or right-of-way owned by the City of Howard Lake or upon any property which the City of Howard Lake has an easement.

A. The City of Howard Lake allows home delivery of mail to residents who live on Imhoff Avenue north and east of Mallard Pass Lake.

B. No mailbox shall be placed in the outside radius of a cul-de-sac.

SECTION 2. When any person or property owning a mail box which is presently located in the City right-of-way or on an easement/property in front of that person's property moves away from the premises or sells the property, the mail box shall immediately be removed by said owner and shall not be replaced.

SECTION 3. Penalty. Any individual, person, or property owner violating this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be subject to a fine or not more than $700.00 or imprisonment for not more than 90 days in jail, or both.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage and publication, passed by the Howard Lake City Council this 17th day of February, 1998.
