Lester Prairie City Council Minutes
Pursuant to posted public notice, the Lester Prairie City Council met in special session on Wednesday, August 17, 2005. Acting Mayor Roland Bruckschen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
The purpose of said special session was to receive and act on proposals for the drilling of a new water well, work on the 2006 budget and any other business deemed necessary.
Councilmember Mallak introduced the following resolution: RESOLUTION NO. 33.05 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTE FOR DRILLING OF A NEW WATER WELL The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Foust and followoing discussion thereon, a vote was taken. Acting Mayor Bruckschen declared Resolution No. 33-05 adopted by a unanimous vote this 17th day of August, 2005.
Motion Foust; Second Mallak; Carried Unanimously; To authorize the city clerk to pay the amount of $9,007.00 to LTP Enterprises, Inc. for the #4 test well.
Motion Foust; Second Mallak; Carried Unanimously; To postpone discussion regarding the 2006 budget until August 25, 2005.
Motion Foust; Second Bruckschen; Carried Unanimously; To approve Maintenance Employees Mueller and Birkholz to attend the MN Fall Maintenance Expo in St. Cloud on October 6, 2005.
Motion Foust; Second Mallak; Carried Unanimously; To deny the request from the Youth Advocate Group from District #424 to use city hall for weekly free lunch for grades 8-12.
General consensus of the City Council was to leave the decision regarding the railroad track removal until the full council can discuss the issue.
Acting Mayor Bruckschen adjourned the meeting at 7:48 p.m.
