Pursuant to public and posted notice, the Lester Prairie City Council met in special session on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Mayor Angvall called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m..

The purpose of said special session was to receive public input regarding a downtown park proposal with an estimated cost of $103,000.00.

Park Board Member Chris Schultz provided a recap to those in attendance regarding the proposed downtown park.

Discussion took place and those in attendance wishing to provide input were allowed to do so.

General consensus of the City Council was that the project is a good idea, it would have a positive impact on the downtown area and the committee should bring funding options back to the City Council at the March meeting. Councilmember Heimerl and Clerk Pawelk are to work on obtaining approval from the McLeod County Railroad Authority for the downtown park concept and Clerk Pawelk is to discuss funding options with legal counsel.

Mayor Angvall adjourned the meeting at 8:05 p.m.
