Lester Prairie City Council
August 30, 2012
Pursuant to posted public notice, the Lester Prairie City Council met in special session on Thursday, August 30, 2012. The meeting was opened at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of said special session was to meet and discuss the proposed 2013 Fire Department Budget.
Fire Chief Hoof reviewed the proposed budget, discussed the number of calls made by the department, membership in the Public Employees Retirement Fund for Police and Fire, possible grant applications. and a future pumper purchase.
Discussion took place.
Motion – Angvall; Second – Messer; Carried – Unanimously; To reduce the Fire Department Budget by $7,500.00 leaving $5,000.00 in the budget to be set aside for future retirement shortfalls.
General consensus of those in attendance was the remaining budget was accepted as proposed.
The meeting was closed at 8:25 p.m.
