Lester Prairie City Council Minutes
December 1, 2003
Pursuant to posted public notice, the Lester Prairie City Council met in special session on Monday, December 1, 2003. Mayor Angvall called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of said special session was to conduct the Truth in Taxation Public Hearing, to work on the 2004 Budget and discuss the expansion of the wastewater treatment facility.
Mayor Angvall opened the Truth in Taxation Public Hearing at 6:40 p.m. Clerk Pawelk discussed the proposed 2004 budget, the tax levy for the taxes payable in year 2004 and comparisons of the cuts made in 2003.
Mayor Angvall inquired if any one in attendance wished to speak. No one in attendance had any questions or comments.
Motion Angvall; Second - Bruckschen; Carried Unanimously; To give employees an approcimate 3% pay increase, excluding the park/pool employees, effective the first full pay period in January and a $50.00 per month increase in insurance allotment.
Mayor Angvall announced that the levy and 2004 adoption hearing would be held Monday, December 8, 2003, at 6:30 p.m.
Mayor Angvall closed the public hearing at 7:00 p.m.
SEH Representative Tom Homme from the Gaylord office and John Stodola from the St. Paul office were in attendance to discuss the expansion for the wasewater treatment facility.
General consensus was to have them proceed with the process for submitting the information to the MN Pollution Control Agenda and the wastewater facility expansion project would be discussed again at the January and February meetings as well at a special meeting that may need to be held in February.
General consensus of the City Council was that Councilmember Hoof should contact Len Juncewski regarding the agreement for inspection services.
Mayor Angvall adjourned the meeting at 8:30 p.m.
