ORDINANCE NO. 289
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 3.3
OF THE LESTER PRAIRIE CODE, SPECIFICALLY SECTION 3.3.1 REGARDING SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL AND STORAGE OF MERCHANDISE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LESTER PRAIRIE ORDAINS:
Section 1. Section 3.3.1 states the following:
“That the owner of any property abutting any municipal or public sidewalk in the City of Lester Prairie shall have the obligation of all mainten-ance, repair, ice and snow removal; removal of debris, branches, litter; and elimination of any other obstruction, accumu-lation of material, or dangerous condition whatsoever.”
Section 2. Section 3.3.1 shall be amended as follows: “That the owner of any property abutting any municipal or public sidewalk in the City of Lester Prairie shall have the obligation of all mainten-ance, repair, ice and snow removal; removal of debris, branches, litter; and elimination of any other obstruction, accumu-lation of material, or dangerous condition whatsoever. An owner of property who has merchandise stored on the sidewalk shall maintain a minimum of four feet of clearance between the merchandise and the face of the curbing. No merchandise that is flammable or explosive shall be stored on the sidewalk.”
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
