|REGULAR MEETING OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF EDUCATION

A regular meeting of the Board of Education, District #424, Lester Prairie, McLeod County, Minnesota was held on Monday, September 23rd, 2013, at the Lester Prairie Public Schools Media Center.
Roll call was taken and the following board members were present: Rawelin Radtke, MerriLea Kyllo, Gregg Machemehl, Karla Heigl and Matthew Klitzke. Administration present: Mike McNulty & Jeremy Schmidt. Ivan Raconteur was there from the Herald Journal Newspaper.
Pledge of Allegiance was led by Matt Klitzke.
Motion by Machemehl, seconded by Kyllo to approve the Consent Agenda as modified & to approve the minutes of the Regular Board Meeting on 8/19/2013. In the same motion, approval to pay bills in the amount of $251,624.91. Student activity fees of $906.88 were also included. Voting was 4 for, 0 against.

District student count as of 9/16/2013 for K-12 is 420.
Motion by Kyllo, seconded by Klitzke to seek quotes on building a storage area for LP Schools. Voting was 5 for, 0 against.
• Motion was made by Radtke, seconded by Machemehl to approve the following contracts:
David Klitzke Geography Bee
Bill Neubarth Additional Football Coach
Bill Neubarth 9th Grade Softball
Jocelyn Buckentin One Act Play
Mike Bjork Science Fair Coordinator
Wes Kapping Jr High Football Coach
Nelia Olson Volleyball Coach
Patrick Tschida Asst. Volleyball Coach
Voting was 5 for, 0 against.
• Motion by Machemehl, seconded by Kyllo to approve the resignation of Cook’s Helper, Cathy Schroeder. Voting was 5 for, 0 against.
Motion by Radtke, seconded by Heigl approving certified proposed 2013, payable 2014 Property Tax Levy limitations at the maximum amount. Final amount to be given at the December School Board Meeting. Voting was 5 for, 0 against.
• Motion by Klitzke, seconded by Machemehl to approve donations (Thank You’s will be sent out). Voting was 5 for, 0 against.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:10 p.m.
