NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that on Thursday, May 14, 2009 the Wright County Planning Commission will hold a hearing in the County Commissioner’s Board Room at the Wright County Government Center, in the City of Buffalo, Minnesota at 8:00 p.m. to consider the following item:

Petitions to amend the Wright County Zoning Ordinance by adding “Large animal veterinary clinic” as a Conditional Use Permit in the AG General Agriculture (Section 604.4) and A/R Agricultural/Residential (Section 603.4) zoning districts.
Such persons that desire to be heard with reference to the proposed application will be heard at this time. If you do not attend the hearing or submit written comment, it will be assumed that you have no objections to the proposal. LIVESTOCK FEEDLOT PERMIT
Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that Jeurissen Dairy has made application to the County of McLeod for a permit to construct or expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.
The existing and/or proposed facility will be located in the SE of the NW of Section 22, Township 116 N (Bergen Township), Range 27 W, McLeod County, MN. The existing facility consists of a 48’x140’ total confinement barn, 30’x52’ total confinement barn, 36’x60’ partial confinement barn with an open lot and 32’x56’ partial confinement barn with an open lot. No livestock are currently housed at the facility. The proposed expansion consists of 300 mature dairy cows (420 animal units), 200 dairy heifers (140 animal units) and 200 dairy calves (40 animal units). Livestock will be housed in the existing facilities in addition to a proposed 124’x164’ total confinement barn. Manure from the proposed barn will be stored in a 265’x200’x15’ clay lined earthen storage basin. All stored feed will be covered. Total animal unit capacity will be 600 animal units.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
