AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 11.03,
ADOPTED DECEMBER 18, 2007,
AND ENTITLED
“REGULATION OF MAIL BOXES”
The City Council of Howard Lake ordains:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 11.03 adopted December 18, 2007, and entitled “Regulation of Mail Boxes” is amended to read as follows:
Section 1. No person or property owner shall erect or cause to be erected or installed a box for the delivery of mail on any property or right-of-way owned by the City of Howard Lake or upon any property which the City of Howard Lake has an easement.
A. The City of Howard Lake allows home delivery of mail to residents who live on Imhoff Avenue north and east of Mallard Pass Lake.
B. The City of Howard Lake allows delivery of mail to the residents of the Good Samaritan Nursing Home located at 413 13th Avenue, Howard Lake, Minnesota 55349 because federal Medicaid Regulation Section 483.10 (i) (1) requires that said residents have mail service available to them Monday through Saturday every week of the year. So that Good Samaritan Nursing Home may be in compliance with the above-stated federal Medicaid regulation, the City of Howard Lake does allow the Good Samaritan Nursing Home to erect an outside mailbox for residents’ use at 413 13th Avenue, Howard Lake, Minnesota 55349.
C. No mailbox shall be placed in the outside radius of a cul-de-sac.
Section 2. This ordinance becomes effective from and after its passage and publication.
