Request for quotationsfor Bread and Milk
Notice is hereby given that quotations will be received by the Delano Public Schools, Independent School District #879, for bread and milk products for the 2010-2011 school year. Quotations will be received at the Delano Public Schools Administration Office, 700 Elm Avenue East, Delano, Minnesota 55328 until 12:00 p.m., July 19, 2010. Quotes will be acted upon at the regular board meeting, Monday, July 26 2010. Quotations are to be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope, “QUOTATION – DO NOT OPEN”. The agent shall not withdraw quotes for a period of 30 calendar days after opening of quotes.
Quotation requirements and specifications are available for interested vendors at the Delano Public Schools Administration Office, 700 Elm Avenue East, Delano, Minnesota 55328 or by calling 763-972-3365 Ext. 2111.
The Board reserves the right to reject any and all quotes or parts of such quotes, accept quotes it deems to be in its best interest, to waive any informalities or irregularities in quotes submitted and waive minor irregularities or discrepancies in quotation procedure.

CITY OF DELANOCOUNTY OF WRIGHTSTATE OF MINNESOTANOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council (the “Council”) of the City of Delano, Wright County, Minnesota, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 20, at approximately 7:00 p.m., at the City Hall, in the City of Delano, Minnesota, relating to the temporary authority to stimulate construction through the spending of available tax increments for one or more of the following purposes:
to provide improvements, loans, interest rate subsidies, or assistance in any form to private development consisting of the construction or substantial rehabilitation of buildings and ancillary facilities, if doing so will create or retain jobs in this state, including construction jobs, and that the construction commences before July 1, 2011, and would not have commenced before that date without the assistance; or
to make an equity or similar investment in a corporation, partnership, or limited liability company that the authority determines is necessary to make construction of a development that meets the requirements of clause (1) financially feasible.
Pursuant to the amendment to Minnesota Statutes 2008, Section 469.176, the City has prepared a written spending plan for temporary use of available increments from one or more tax increment districts to stimulate construction.
All interested persons may appear at the hearing and present their views orally or in writing prior to the hearing.

The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota, was held on Monday, May 24, 2010, at the Delano City Hall. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 7:03 PM with the following members in attendance: Douglas, Johnson, Milano, Bodin, Osmon, Seguin and Brasket. Absent: None

CONSENT AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board approved the regular meeting minutes of 4-26-10, the current budget status with year to date adjustments, wire transfers, Minnesota Liquid Assets fund, cash report, revenue and expense fund totals, expense reports and disbursements; and donations.
PERSONNEL
Board approved retirement of DHS Spec Ed Teacher, Gymnastic & 9th Gr Softball coach, TAC Supv and DES Speech/Lang Pathologist. Hired: DHS Vocal Music Teacher, 2 DHS Spec Ed Teachers, DMS Math Teacher, DHS Science Teacher, DMS Phy Ed/Health, DES Targeted Services, DES Long-Term Sub, Extended School Year Teachers, DES Gr. 4, 3 TKC Aides, TAC Lifeguard, and Extended year Paras. Contract changes from Gr. 2 to Gr. 1 and from K to Gr. 4, and a Family Leave.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND BOARD REPORTS
Board heard the following administrative reports: Supt. Sweet reported on the Legislature adjournment; ES Prin Darren Schuler reported on interviewing, Reading Corp and a retirement; MS Prin Renee Klinkner reported on end of year wrap up, Principal’s Honor Roll and Exploratory Day; HS Prin Matt Schoen reported on the graduating senior class and CIS/On Line courses, Business Mgr reported on election details, impact of 70-30 shift on cash flow and FY11 budget, and CE Director reported on playground renovation, DI, Comm Theater and GED Graduation..
Board heard reports from board members regarding MAWSECO, Wright Technical Center, Community Educ Advisory Council, Curriculum Advisory Council, Schools for Equity in Educ., Delano Area Sports Arena, Safe Schools, Staff Dev. and City/School Task Group.

REQUEST FOR BIDS BID OPENING
Contractor’s sealed Proposals for the 2010 Delano School Campus Parking Improvements-Rebid will be received by the Independent School District No. 879, Delano, Minnesota, until 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the office of the Superintendent of Schools, in Delano, Minnesota, in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by, Architects Rego + Youngquist, inc., 7601 Wayzata Boulevard, St. Louis Park, Minnesota 55426.
Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at the above time and place. Bids received after 2:00 pm will be returned unopened.
A single bid will be received for all work required.
Envelopes containing bids must be sealed, marked on the lower left-hand corner “Sealed Bid Enclosed” with the name and address of the bidder and the date and hour of the opening and addressed to:

BID SECURITY
Each bidder must accompany his Proposal with a Cashier’s Check, Bid Bond or Certified Check equal to 5% of the amount of the Proposal payable to the Owner as a guarantee of prompt execution of the Contract in accordance with the Proposal and Contract Documents, and that he will furnish bond acceptable to the Owner covering performance of the Contract.

DOCUMENT AVAILABILITY
Prime Contractors may obtain one set of documents from the architect upon deposit of the amounts noted, which will be refunded to all bidders upon return of the documents to the architect in good condition within ten days after receipt of bids.
Contractors who do not submit bids will receive refund of one half of their deposit for plans and specifications that are returned within ten days after receipt of bids.
Subcontractors or suppliers may purchase the entire set of plans and specifications, for their respective division of the contract, for a non-refundable cost of $50 plus shipping and handling.
Subcontractors or suppliers who desire individual plan sheets or specifications may purchase copies at the nonrefundable cost of reproduction and delivery.

Copies of the Tax Increment Financing Plan as proposed to be adopted will be on file and available for public inspection at the office of the City Administrator at City Hall.
Development District No. 4 is coterminous with the entire corporate boundaries of the City of Delano. The property proposed to be included in Tax Increment Financing (Economic Development) District No. 10 is described in the Tax Increment Financing Plan on file in the office of the City Administrator.
