NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday November 17, 2010 at the MONTROSE Planning and Zoning Commission meeting which begins at 7:00 p.m., a public hearing will be held at the MONTROSE Community Center to consider the Montrose Zoning Ordinance amendment for the following item:
Chapter 1020 – Fencing/Screening/Landscaping
Copies are available at City Hall for review.

The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota, was held on Monday, September 27, 2010, at the Delano City Hall. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 7:00 PM with the following members in attendance: Douglas, Johnson, Osmon, Bodin, and Brasket. Absent: Milano, Seguin

CONSENT AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board approved the regular meeting minutes of 8-23-10 and special mtg minutes of 9-13-10, the current budget status with year to date adjustments, wire transfers, Minnesota Liquid Assets fund, cash report, revenue and expense fund totals, expense reports and disbursements; and donations.
PERSONNEL
Board approved resignation of DES Para, Jr. High Math League Coach, and Co-Jr. Class Advisor. Hired DMS Art teacher, DMS Music teacher, Co-Jr. Class Advisor, Jr. High Math League coach; DMS Phy Ed Teacher, Gr. 6 Teacher, 2 P-T Food Service Computer Operators,2 P-T Food Serv. Workers, 3-TAC monitors, 5 DEC Paras, a-DMS Para and a DHS Long-term sub; Contracts for Principals and Health Office Professionals. Lane Changes, 2 DHS Paras w/increased hours; and Leave for DHS Social Worker
ADMINISTRATIVE AND BOARD REPORTS
Board heard the following administrative reports: Supt. Sweet reported on hosting China visitors & joint legislative mtg., HS Prin. reported on Nat. Merit Students, Homecoming and testing; MS Prin, recognized donations, parent presentations and map testing, ES Prin. reported on Chinese visit & unplugged week, Business Mgr reported on the audit; CE Director reported on enrollment & programs for all CE departments.
Board heard reports from board members regarding MAWSECO, Wright Technical Center, Community Educ Advisory Council, Curriculum Advisory Council, Schools for Equity in Educ., Delano Area Sports Arena, Safe Schools, Staff Dev. and City/School Task Group.
