Notice of Board of Appeal & EqualizationKingston Township
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That on Tuesday, the 6th day of April, 2010 and 1:00 - 1:30 P.M., has been fixed as the date for the meeting of the Local Board of Appeal & Equalization in your Township of Kingston for said year. This meeting should be held in our office as provided by law. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the city has been properly valued and classified by the assessor, and also to determine whether corrections need to be made.
If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns. If you are still not satisfied with the valuation or classification after conferring with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board shall review the valuation, classification, or both if necessary, and shall correct it as needed. Generally, an appearance before your local board of appeal and equalization is required by law before an appeal can be taken to your county board of appeal and equalization.
Pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statues Section 274.03, you are required to give notice of said meeting by publication and posting, not later than ten days prior to the date of said meeting.

UNOFFICIAL SCHOOL BOARD MINUTESI.S.D. #466, BOARD OF EDUCATION7:00 PM SPECIAL BOARD MEETING, MONDAY, MARCH 8, 2010DASSEL-COKATO BOARD ROOM
In partnership with our communities, Dassel-Cokato Public Schools will provide all learners opportunities designed to maximize their potential and promote lifelong learning.
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 466 (Dassel-Cokato, Minnesota) was duly held in the Dassel-Cokato Board Room of the Dassel-Cokato Schools, Cokato, Minnesota, on Monday, March 8, 2010.
Board Chairman Kevin Dahlman called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
The following members were present: Dahlman, Bjork, Bender, McConkey, and Linder. The following were absent: Tormanen. Members of the community and administration were also present.
The meeting began with the pledge of allegiance.
Motion by Linder, seconded by Bender, accepting the agenda as presented. Motion carried unanimously.
The board moved to room #323 for a presentation by the District Mentorship Team. The presentation included the purpose for mentorship and the various activities the team provides in support of mentorship.
Curriculum Director Force and representatives from the K-12 Social Studies Department presented information on the first year implementation of the new social studies curriculum. Board members asked questions. Overall, the adoption appears to have been very positive.
Motion by Bjork, seconded by Linder approving ground and operating / usage leases with the Dassel-Cokato Regional Ice and Sports Center. Superintendent Powers presented the leases to the board reviewing the content of each lease. Board members McConkey, Bjork, and Linder spoke in support of the lease agreements. Motion Carried Unanimously.
Motion by Bender, seconded by McConkey approving a Resolution Authorizing the District to Enter Into a Line of Credit Agreement with a Financial Institution. Motion Carried Unanimously.
Being no further business the meeting adjourned at 8:21 PM
