Notice is hereby given that the first day of filing for Affidavits of Candidacy begins 8:00 a.m. on August 3, 2010 and ends 5:00 p.m. on August 17, 2010.
August 19, 2010 is the last day you can withdraw your Affidavit of Candidacy.
You can file your Affidavit of Candidacy at the Darwin City Hall, located at 305 East Curran Street. Office Hours: Monday and Thursday from 8-12 and 1-5.

UNOFFICIALSCHOOL BOARD MINUTES I.S.D. #466, BOARD OF EDUCATION 7:00 PM SPECIAL BOARD MEETING, MONDAY, JUNE 14, 2010 DASSEL-COKATO BOARD ROOM
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 466 (Dassel-Cokato, Minnesota) was duly held in the Dassel-Cokato Board Room of the Dassel-Cokato Schools, Cokato, Minnesota, on Monday, June 14, 2010.
Board Chairman Kevin Dahlman called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
The following members were present: Dahlman, Bender, McConkey, Tormanen, Bjork, and Linder. The following were absent: none. Members of the community and administration were also present.
The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Business Manager Palmer presented the 2010-2011 budget for a first reading. She reviewed changes in revenues and expenditures compared to the 2009-10 budget and reviewed the budget summary worksheet with the board by fund. Business Manager Palmer answered questions from the board regarding the budget and invited board members to visit with her individually if they had questions regarding the details of the budget. The budget will be brought back to the board for approval on June 24.
Tammy Quist from Lead2Learn presented the results of a curriculum audit she, and Learn2Lead, had completed for the district. The audit focused on high school course offerings and requirements making comparisons to other similar schools and requirements put forth by MDE and various colleges. The overall report was very favorable verifying that DCHS provides a broad curriculum that includes good options for students of all abilities and interests. The administrative team will make recommendations to the board based upon the report at a future meeting.
Being no further business the meeting adjourned at 8:42 PM
