CITY OF HOWARD LAKE, MINNESOTA
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
GRANTING OF A BUSINESS SUBSIDY
Notice is hereby given that the City of Howard Lake, Minnesota will hold a public hearing pursuant to Minnesota law concerning the proposed granting of a business subsidy to Ohlerdan Incorporated, or its assigns. The public hearing will be held at the Howard Lake City Hall, 625 Eighth Avenue, Howard Lake, Minnesota 55349 on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at approximately 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the business subsidy is to assist Ohlerdan Incorporated in the acquisition by lease and the equipping of a grocery store within the City. The public hearing is being held pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, sections 116J.993 to 116J.995.
Members of the public may see the terms and conditions of the proposed business subsidy agreement, which includes the terms of the lease of the grocery store property and the terms of a business loan, prior to the public hearing at the offices of the City by contacting Kelly Hinnenkamp, City Administrator, at Howard Lake City Hall, 625 Eighth Avenue, P.O Box 738, Howard Lake, Minnesota 55349-0738. At the public hearing the City Council will meet to decide whether the granting of the business subsidy is desirable and all interested parties may express their comments for consideration by the City Council.
Any person with residence in or the owner of taxable property in the City of Howard Lake may file a written complaint with the City if the City fails to comply with Minnesota Statutes, Section 116J.993 to 116J.995, and no action may be filed against the City for the failure to comply unless a written complaint is filed.
