CALL FOR QUOTES

The City Council of the City of Lester Prairie will receive quotes at the office of the City Clerk until noon on Thursday, April 8th, 2010, for the described local improvement: seal coating of approximately 41,200 square yards of bituminous surface with an alternate for approximately 8,200 square yards of bituminous surface. Quote documents may be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office located at 37 Juniper Street North between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENT TO ENACT AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COUNTY CODE AND FEE SCHEDULE
TO: ADOPT CHAPTER 113, ADULT USE BUSINESSES; AMEND CHAPTER 152, THE ZONING CODE; AND AMEND THE COUNTY FEE SCHEDULE.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, the 13th day of April, 2010, as soon as possible after 9:15 a.m. upstairs in the Social Services wing, in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room of the Carver County Government Center, Chaska, Minnesota, the Carver County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider adoption of an ordinance amending the Carver County Code and the County Fee Schedule.
The purpose of the proposed Ordinance would be to: (1) Adopt Chapter 113 to enact provisions to license and regulate adult use businesses (also known as sexually-oriented businesses) in businesses or places open to the public, which could be located in the unincorporated areas of the County. Adult uses would be restricted to the Rural Service Overlay Districts (RSDís), which are Assumption, Bongards, East Union, Gotha, Hollywood (Sports), Hollywood Station and Maple (Creamery). These regulations are intended to mitigate the adverse secondary effects associated with adult use establishments; (2) Amend Carver County Code Chapter 152, the Zoning Code, to reflect changes in the Rural Service Overlay Districts consistent with the adoption of Chapter 113, Adult Use Businesses; and (3) Amend the County Fee Schedule to provide for the necessary application and licensing fees.
