The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota, was held on Monday, June 25, 2011, at the Delano City Hall. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 7:02 PM with the following members in attendance: Johnson, Milano, Baker, Seguin, Durick, Frake and Brasket. Absent: None

CONSENT AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board approved the regular meeting minutes of 6-27-11, the current budget status with year to date adjustments, investment transactions, wire transfers, Minnesota Liquid Assets fund, cash report, revenue and expense fund totals, expense reports and disbursements; and donations.
PERSONNEL (approved unanimously)
Board approved resignations DES Paraprofessional, TAC Pool Instructor, DES part-time Custodian; hiring DES part-time PE/DAPE Teacher, DMS part-time PE Teacher, .38 FTE District ESL Teacher; Contract Changes for DMS 5th Grade job share eliminated, 6 hrs/wk for District Office Clerk, 3.0 hrs/day for Supt Secr/Commun Coord, long-term Admin. Asst. subs for CE; leave of absence for CE Administrative Assistant.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND BOARD REPORTS
Board heard the following administrative reports: Supt. Sweet reported on upcoming events and E-12 legislative changes; HS Prin M Schoen reported on summer intervention classes; Bus Mgr reported on preliminary FY11 Food Service ending fund balance and cash flow with new 60/40 funding shift; and CE Dir reported Intergeneral Arts project, concerts in the park, summer enrichment classes, boiler and drama storage room projects, and upcoming registration dates for ECFE and TKC.
Board heard reports from bd members regarding MAWSECO, Wright Technical Ctr, Community Educ Advisory Council, Curriculum Advisory Council, Schools for Equity in Educ., Delano Area Sports Arena, Safe Schools, Staff Dev. and City/School Task Group.

CITY OF DELANONOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Delano Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing in the Council Chambers at Delano City Hall, 234 2nd Street North, on Monday, September 12, 2011, at 7:00 PM or there soon after as the parties may be heard to consider a request from Ridgeview Medical Center for the property located at 916 St. Peter Avenue East, for a Site and Building Plan Review in accordance with Section 51.02. Subd F. and for a variance to the front yard setback of 10 feet within the B-2 General Business District, Section 51.21, Subd. G. 4 a. for an expansion to the existing facility per the City of Delano Zoning and Land Use Code, for the property legally described as Lot 1, Block 3, of Delano Crossings First Addition to the City of Delano (PID Number 107-073-003010).
All interested parties or individuals are hereby notified and invited to present their oral or written comments at said public hearing.
