French Lake Township Notice of Dust Control
French Lake Township residents can sign up for dust control on gravel roads. The policy is for a minimum of 100’ with the township paying for the first 50’ of application. The cost this year is .50 cents per foot with an 18’ wide travel surface. Please mail your check to the Clerk by May 27th, 2011.
Also please mark off the distance to be sprayed.

CITY OF COKATORESOLUTION NO. 2011-06RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OFORDINANCE NO. 02-2011 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY
WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Cokato has adopted Ordinance No. 02-2011 an ordinance amending chapter 95 of the city code regarding public nuisances; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes §412.191, subd. 4, allows publication by file and summary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps; and
WHEREAS, the ordinance is 7 pages in length; and
WHEREAS, the city council believes that the following summary would clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Cokato that the city clerk shall cause the following summary of Ordinance No. 02-2011 to be published in the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance
Public Notice
The city council of the city of Cokato has adopted Ordinance No. 02-2011, an ordinance amending the city’s code of ordinances regarding public nuisances. The ordinance clarifies language regarding some nuisances, classifies certain activities involving excessive noise as nuisances and references the nuisances regarding parking and storage of certain vehicles established by a recent amendment to chapter 70 of city code. The ordinance also refers to the handling of nuisances involving abandoned, junk and unauthorized vehicles as specified in chapter 92 of the city code. The ordinance establishes a procedure for persons charged with maintaining a nuisance to appeal to the city council. It also outlines the process for city abatement of the nuisance and recovery of the cost thereof against the affected property. The full text of Ordinance No. 02-2011 is available for inspection at Cokato city hall during regular business hours.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Cokato that the city clerk keep a copy of the ordinance in her office at city hall for public inspection and that she post a full copy of the ordinance in a public place within the city.

One (1) New/Demo 2010 or 2011 Pay Wheel Loader
Specifications and proposal forms may be obtained from City of Cokato, PO Box 1030, 255 Broadway Ave. South, Cokato, MN 55321. Sealed bids will be accepted until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 1st, 2011 at the City Hall where they will be publicly opened. Each bid must be on the proposal form furnished by the City. Bids will be considered and other action taken as necessary at the City Council meeting on Monday, June 13th, 2011 at 7 p.m. at the City Hall.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities in the bid and further reserves the right to award the bid in the best interest of the City of Cokato.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cokato has adopted Ordinance No. 03-2011 granting an electric franchise to Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota corporation, d/b/a Xcel Energy; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 412.191, subd. 4 allows publication by title and summary in the case of lengthy ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the following summary will clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the following ordinance be published in the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance:
Public Notice
The City of Cokato City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 03-2011 granting to Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota corporation, d/b/a Xcel Energy, the nonexclusive right and franchise to construct, operate, repair and maintain facilities and equipment for the transmission and distribution of electric energy for public and private use and to use the public ways and grounds in the City for such purpose; and prescribing certain terms and conditions associated with such activities.
