Kingston Township will have their officer election November 6, 2012 from 7 AM - 8 PM. The purpose of this election is to vote for one supervisor and one clerk, there will also be a question on the ballot. The question will say: “Shall the second Tuesday in March of each year be designated as the date of the Kingston Township general election”. To vote for a question, fill in the oval next to the word “YES” on that question. To vote against a question, fill in the oval next to the word “NO” on the question. All Kingston Township elections take place at the Kingston Community Center in Kingston. The Board of Canvass will be held between November 9 - 16, 2012. Any question about the election of officers or the ballot question call 320-398-8400.

Any objections to the petition must be filed with the Court prior to or raised at the hearing. The positions are part time and seasonal with responsibility for the supervision of skaters, maintenance of the rink and warming house. 03-2012ORDINANCE AMENDMENT FOR APPOINTMENT OF VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE SERVICE DIRECTOR
The City Council of the City of Cokato, Wright County, Minnesota does ordain that Operations and Administration Chapter 2-37, Part 12, 212.04 Ordinance governing Volunteer Ambulance be amended as follows:
212.04 Appointment
The Ambulance Director, Assistant Director, and Secretary-Treasurer shall be appointed annually by the city council. Any member in good standing for the ambulance service may apply for any of the officer positions by announcing their intentions at or before the November ambulance meeting. The city council will consider experience, skills, training, and recommendations from the volunteer membership of the ambulance. If more than one individual has expressed interest in a position the city council as a whole may consider holding interviews of the interested parties or may instruct the personnel committee to conduct the interviews. Each officer shall comply with department standards and policies and may be removed by the city council for just cause after a public hearing.
The incoming Ambulance Director shall appoint 1-2 training officers to oversee the annual training schedule for the membership. The Ambulance Director shall appoint new members to the service after reviewing applications, references, and interviewing interested candidates. Volunteer members of the ambulance service shall comply with department standards and policies and may be removed by the city council for just cause after a public hearing.
The Ordinance Amendment shall become effective upon its adoption and publication.

02-2012ORDINANCE AMENDMENT FOR DELINQUENT UTILITY ACCOUNTS
The City Council of the City of Cokato, Wright, Minnesota hereby ordains that Code of Ordinances, Title V Public Works, Chapter 50, Section 51.005 (f) Delinquent Accounts shall be amended as follows:
G. Cold Weather Rule. Pursuant to M.S. 216B.097, as it may be amended from time to time, no water service of a residential customer shall be discontinued if the disconnection affects the primary heat source for the residential unit the period between October 15 and April 15. The residential customer has declared inability to pay with a household income at 185% of the federal poverty level as documented by the customer to the city. The customer’s account is current for the billing period immediately prior to October 15 or reasonable current monthly payments. The City clerk shall between August 15th, and October 15th, of each year, notify all residential customers of these ordinance amendment provisions.
The Ordinance Amendment shall become effective upon its adoption and publication.
