NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENT TO ENACT AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE COUNTY CODE, CHAPTER 50 - SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT, AND TO AMEND THE COUNTY FEE-FOR-SERVICE SCHEDULE
COUNTY OF CARVER
CHASKA, MINNESOTA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, the 19th day of June, 2012, as soon as possible after 4:00 p.m. upstairs in the Social Services wing, in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room of the Carver County Government Center, Chaska, Minnesota, the Carver County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to:
ADOPT ORDINANCE 74-2012 AMENDING THE CARVER COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 50 - SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT; AND ADDING A CORRESPONDING FEE TO THE FEE-FOR-SERVICE SCHEDULE.
Ordinance 74-2012 provides for the limited burial of concrete and reinforcing bar (rebar) generated from the demolition of a building or structure located on land used for farming. The proposed ordinance includes a number of minimum standards including, but not limited to, application requirements, prohibition of burial in cities and transition areas, minimum setback distances for the burial site, restoration standards, and a requirement that an affidavit be recorded with the County Recorder’s Office. The ordinance also includes a $100 application fee, which would be added to the County Fee-For-Service Schedule.
