NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
YOU ARE HEREBY notified that a regular meeting of the McLeod County Planning Commission will be held on Wednesday, the 19th day of December 2012 at 9:30 A.M. in the County Board Room 4a on the lower level of the Courthouse at 830 11th Street East in Glencoe, Minnesota.
THE PURPOSE OF THE SAID MEETING is to consider the following application located in the County of McLeod and filed with the County Zoning Administrator. All requests are subject to modification during the hearing process.
A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT application filed by Litzau Excavating, Inc. for gravel mining on property owned by Orville Foust and to be described as part of the N 1⁄2 of the NE 1⁄4 of Sect. 12, Twp. 116-27 (Bergen.) A complete legal is on file in the Zoning Office.
THIS HEARING will be held by the McLeod County Planning Commission at which time you may appear if you desire, either in person or by agent or attorney, in opposition to or support of the proposed Conditional Use. Thereafter, the McLeod County Planning Commission shall forward its recommendations to the County Board of Commissioners. If you desire to appeal the Planning Commission’s recommendations, you may take your request to the County Board, which has the final authority to act on the findings of the Planning Commission.

NOTICE – WARNING
An aeration system creating open water and thin ice will begin operation on Winsted Lake, McLeod County, Township 117N, Range 27W, Section 2, 11, & 12, beginning December 22nd, 2012, under permit DNR #F1234071.
Weather conditions may cause the area of thin ice and open water to fluctuate greatly.
STAY CLEAR OF THE MARKED AREA
Motorized vehicles on aerated lakes are restricted inside the zone marked “thin ice”.
