Specifications and proposal forms may be obtained from City of Cokato, PO Box 1030, 255 Broadway Ave. South, Cokato, MN 55321. Sealed bids will be accepted until 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 at the City Hall where they will be publicly opened. Each bid must be on the proposal form furnished by the City. Bids will be considered and other action taken as necessary at the City Council meeting on Monday, May 13th, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the City Hall.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities in the bid and further reserves the right to award the bid in the best interest of the City of Cokato.

6:30 PM SPECIAL BOARD MEETING, APRIL 8, 2013 DASSEL-COKATO BOARD ROOM
In partnership with our communities, Dassel-Cokato Public Schools will provide all learners opportunities designed to maximize their potential and promote lifelong learning.
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 466 (Dassel-Cokato, Minnesota) was duly held in the Dassel-Cokato Board Room, Cokato, Minnesota, on Monday, April 8, 2013.
Board Chairman Bjork called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM.
The following members were present: Bjork, Clemen, Tormanen, Linder, McConkey and Bender. The following were absent: none. Members of the administration and public were also present.
The meeting began with the pledge of allegiance.
Motion by Linder, seconded by Bender, accepting the agenda as printed. Motion carried unanimously.
The DCEA negotiations team, led by Sara Nelson, presented some general thoughts on upcoming negotiations. The board listened.
Business Manager Palmer presented Affordable Care Act Implications for the district and answered questions from the board.

7:00 PM REGULAR BOARD MEETING, MARCH 19, 2013 DASSEL-COKATO BOARD ROOM
In partnership with our communities, Dassel-Cokato Public Schools will provide all learners opportunities designed to maximize their potential and promote lifelong learning.
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 466 (Dassel-Cokato, Minnesota) was duly held in the Dassel-Cokato Board Room, Cokato, Minnesota, on Tuesday, March 19, 2013.
Chairman Bjork called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
The following members were present: Tormanen, McConkey Bjork, Linder, Clemen and Bender. The following were absent: none. Members of the administration and public were also present.
The meeting began with the pledge of allegiance.
Motion by Linder, seconded by Bender, accepting the agenda as printed. Motion carried unanimously.
Jared Nordberg received the February Russell A. Johnson Courtesy and Respect Award, son of Leon and Lisa Nordberg of Dassel.
Motion by Tormanen, seconded by Clemen, approving payment of bills as presented including payroll, hand payables and contingency totaling $1,733,834.23. Motion carried unanimously. (A complete list of bills is available from the District Office for review.)
Communications/Open Forum: None
Curriculum Advisory Committee (CAC) Report: Board Member Linder reported on the 3/7 meeting which included Physical Education and Health Curriculum and an update on the German program.
Technology Report: None
MAWSECO Report: None
Community Education Report: Board Member McConkey reported on the March meeting which focused on mission and vision statements.
Business Manager’s Report: Business Manager Palmer reported expenditures are in line with budget through the end of the ninth month of the fiscal year and reviewed the investment report with the board.
Superintendent’s Report – Superintendent Powers gave the board an update on snow days.
SEE – None
Student Report – Student Representative Abrahamson reported on: winter and spring activities.
Motion by Bender, seconded by McConkey approving all consent items, which included approval of the minutes from the February 28, 2013 Regular Board Meeting and the March 11, 2013 Special Meeting.
Approval of Wire transfers made on February 27th for $30,000, February 28th for $775,000, March 11th for $155,000 and March 14th for $700,000. Personnel Items: Resignation of Stacey Doering as a Cokato Elementary Teacher Effective 6/5/2013, Resignation of Steven Schauberger as the High School Dean of Students Effective 6/15/2013, Resignation of Jeremy Schmidt as a Middle School Teacher effective 6/5/2013, Resignation of Angela Hopkins as a Title I Paraeducator at Dassel Elementary effective 3/22/13, Approval of an Unpaid Medical Leave for Betty Westrup, Preschool Paraeducator from 3/14/13 through 5/31/2013, Approve Revisions of Softball Coaching Assignments: Amanda Berg – Assistant Varsity, Stephanie Schlangen as JV Coach and addition of Anna Reedy as 7th grade softball coach. Acceptance of Donations: From Cokato Dairy Queen - $178.50 to Cokato Elementary, From Cokato Dairy Queen - $178.50 to Dassel Elementary, From Dassel-Cokato PTA - $100 to Dassel Elementary for Bingo for Books event, From Cokato Dassel Lions Club - $1,000 to the scholarship fund ($500 for the Clifford Paulson Memorial and $500 for the Alvie Cole Memorial). Motion carried unanimously.
The board decided to ask for a $612.00 / pupil operating levy in the November 2013 levy election with formal action to follow at a later meeting.
Motion by Linder, seconded by Tormanen, approving HS/MS August 2013 Tech Academies for Local Inservice Credit. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Clemen, seconded by McConkey, approving Elementary June 2013 Tech Academies for Local Inservice Credit. Motion carried unanimously.
Superintendent Powers presented potential 2013-14 staffing levels K-8 and resulting class sizes.
Motion by Bender, seconded by McConkey approving spending up to 75% of the 2013-14 budget in 2012-13. Motion carried unanimously.
Superintendent Powers reminded the board that nominations for the Edward H. Otto Partner in Public Education Award were due by April 15.
The April 8, 2013 Special Board Meeting Agenda will begin at 6:30 and will include a presentation by the teacher negotiations team and a presentation on the implications of the Affordable Care Act.
Being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:50 PM.

GENERAL NOTICETO CONTROL OR ERADICATE NOXIOUS WEEDS
Notice Is Hereby given this 1st day of May 2013, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 18.83, subd. 7, (1992), that all persons in Meeker County, Minnesota shall control or eradicate all noxious weeds on land they own, occupy or are required to maintain. Control or eradication may be accomplished by any lawful method but the methods may need to be repeated in order to prevent the spread of viable noxious weed seeds and other propagating parts to other lands. Failure to comply with the general notice may mean that an individual notice will be issued. An individual notice may be appealed within three working days of receipt to the weed committee in the county where the land is located. Failure to comply with the individual notice will mean that the inspector having jurisdiction may either hire the work done or seek a misdemeanor charge against the person(s) who failed to comply. If the work is hired done by the inspector, the cost can be placed as a tax upon the land and collected as other real estate taxes are collected. You may obtain a list of the plants that are designated noxious and the members of the weed committee from your County Agricultural Inspector or Local Weed Inspector. The Local Weed Inspectors are township supervisors, city mayors or their appointed assistants.

Notice is given that an application for informal probate of the Decedent’s Will, dated May 15, 2007, and (“Will”), has been filed with the Registrar. The application has been granted.
Notice is also given that the registrar has informally appointed Sandy Koivisto, whose address is 17001 30th Street SW, Cokato, MN 55321, as personal representative of the Estate of the Decedent. Any heir, devisee or other interested person may be entitled to appointment as personal representative or may object to the appointment of the personal representative. Unless objections are filed with the Court (pursuant to Minn. Stat. 524.3-607) and the court otherwise orders, the personal representative has full power to administer the Estate, including, after 30 days from the date of issuance of letters, the power to sell, encumber, lease or distribute real estate.
Any objections to the probate of the Will or appointment of the Personal Representative must be filed with this Court and will be heard by the Court after the filing of an appropriate petition and proper notice of hearing.
