FOR TOWNSHIP OFFICERS
Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of Stockholm Township, County of Wright, State Of Minnesota, the Annual Election of Town Officers will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Filings for the following officers will be open from 8:00am Thursday, January 2, 2014 through 5:00pm on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Please contact Clerk Selseth at 612-270-3409 or via email at stockholmtwp@gmail.com to obtain an Application of Candidacy. There is a $2.00 filing fee payable to Stockholm Township.

UNOFFICIAL SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES
I.S.D. #466, BOARD OF EDUCATION
6:30 PM REGULAR BOARD MEETING, NOVEMBER 25, 2013 DASSEL-COKATO BOARD ROOM
In partnership with our communities, Dassel-Cokato Public Schools will provide all learners opportunities designed to maximize their potential and promote lifelong learning.
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 466 (Dassel-Cokato, Minnesota) was duly held in the Dassel-Cokato Board Room, Cokato, Minnesota, on Monday, November 25, 2013.
Chairman Bjork called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM.
The following members were present: Tormanen, McConkey, Linder, Bjork, Clemen and Bender. The following were absent: None. Members of the administration and public were also present.
The meeting began with the pledge of allegiance.
Motion by Bender, seconded by Tormanen, accepting the agenda as printed. Motion carried unanimously.
The October Russell A. Johnson Courtesy and Respect Award was given to Thomas Keskey.
Motion by Linder, seconded by Clemen, approving payment of bills as presented including payroll, hand payables and contingency totaling $2,423,228.51. Motion carried unanimously. (A complete list of bills is available from the District Office for review.)

Curriculum Advisory Committee (CAC) Report: None
Technology Report: None
MAWSECO Report: Vice Chair Tormanen reported on the 11/19 meeting which included: Audit, PAES, Programs, and Policies.
Community Education Report: None
Business Manager’s Report: Business Manager Palmer reported expenditures are in line with budget through the end of the fifth month of the fiscal year and reviewed the investment report with the board.
Superintendent’s Report: Superintendent Powers reported on: Upcoming MSBA Conference and Finance Companies
DCRISC – None
SEE – Clerk Bender reported on the 11/22 SEE General Membership Meeting which included: Career Pathways, Gubernatorial Candidate Thompson, Legislative Reports
Student Report – Student Representative Marshall reported on: fall activities, winter activities, NHS Turkey Bingo, and Senior Privilege.
Motion by Tormanen, seconded by McConkey, approving all consent items, which included approval of the minutes from the November 13, 2013 Special Board Meeting and the October 24, 2013 Regular Board Meeting. Approval of Wire transfers made on October 25th for $90,000, October 31st for $250,000, November 1st for $125,000 and November 15th for $675,000. Personnel Items: Employment of Beth Flick as a Type III sub driver, Employment of Deanna Baldwin as a Cokato Elementary School Special Needs Paraeducator effective 11/04/2013, Rescind the approved request of up to 12 weeks FMLA for Laura Lynk, Dassel Elementary Teacher beginning approximately 11/1/2013, Resignation of Anna Reedy as 7th Grade Softball coach, Approval of a lane change for Tracy Rickeman from BA+60 to MA, Request Approval of a 3 year Extended Leave of Absence for Debra Johnson Wahlman beginning with the 2014-2015 school year, Employment of Jerry Fitzloff as a CDL substitute driver, upon licensure receipt. Acceptance of Donations: From Dassel-Cokato Youth Trust - $750 to Dassel Elementary, From Dassel-Cokato Youth Trust - $750 to the High School, From Cokato Dairy Queen - $288.50 to Dassel Elementary, From Cokato Dairy Queen - $341.50 to Cokato Elementary, From SFM Mutual Insurance Co - $887.86 for a safety grant (applied for by John Martinson & Tina Palmer). Motion carried unanimously.
Business Manager Palmer gave the Truth in Taxation Presentation.
Chairman Bjork formed a Building Construction Committee for the purpose of overseeing the ADED K project. Membership will include 2 board members and appropriate staff.
Paul Harvego presented the 2012-13 Audit.
Motion by Linder, seconded by McConkey approving the 2012-13 Audit. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Clemen, seconded by McConkey ratifying the following 2013-15 contracts:
Activity/Facility Secretary, District Office Secretary, Community Education/ECFE Secretary, Food Service Secretary, Special Education/Curriculum Secretary, Bookkeeper, IT Specialist #1, IT Specialist #2, Help Desk Analyst. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Bender, seconded by Linder approving the Winter 2013-14 Coaching Staff. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by McConkey, seconded by Clemen approving amendment to the Section 125 Flexible Benefits Document. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Bender, seconded by McConkey approving Fitness for Life/Advanced Strength Training and Conditioning, Aerobic Fitness, St. Cloud University PESS 120, College Speech 110, and Fashion Design & Merchandising. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Tormanen, seconded by Clemen approving the 2013-14 Seniority List. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by McConkey, seconded by Clemen approving a speech trip to Boston / Harvard. Motion carried unanimously.
Board Chair Bjork canceled the December Special Board Meeting and moved the regular meeting from 12/26 to 12/16.
Being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:22 PM.

STOCKHOLM TOWNSHIP REMINDS RESIDENTS TO NOT PUSH SNOW ONTO ROADWAYS
The Stockholm Township Board reminds its residents that it is a violation of MN Statute 160.72, Subdivision 5 to push, plow, shovel or deposit snow in any form on the township roadways or township ditches. The violation is punishable as a misdemeanor. The Township Board asks for all its residents’ cooperation in this matter to ensure the safety of its maintenance crew(s) and the traveling public.

FRENCH LAKE TOWNSHIP
FILING NOTICE
The ANNUAL ELECTION AND TOWN MEETING for French Lake Township will be held on Tuesday, March 11th, 2014, at the French Lake Township Hall.
The Offices to be elected are:
One Supervisor for a 3-year term
One Clerk for a 2-year term
Affidavits of candidacy may be filed with the Township Clerk from Tuesday December 31st, 2013, to January 14th, 2014. Filings close at 5:00 p.m. on January 14th, 2014. The filing fee is $2.00.
The ANNUAL MEETING will convene after the polls close at 8 p.m.

Filing Notice
Filing for Dassel Township offices will open on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 and will close on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Filings are open for one supervisor for a 3-year term and one clerk for a 2-year term. File at the Township Clerk’s office at 650 Parker Avenue West - Dassel, MN. Candidate’s withdrawal date is on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.

Notice is hereby given that a Township Election in the Town of Cokato Township, County of Wright, State of Minnesota, will be held on March 11, 2014.
