SOLICITATION FOR INTERESTED APPLICANTS TO FILL A CITY COUNCIL POSITION VACANCY
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED, there is a vacancy on the Lester Prairie City Council effective December 11, 2013. Interested persons are being sought to fill that vacancy.
Qualifications of a Councilmember are: be a resident of the City of Lester Prairie, a resident of the State of MN for at least 30 days, a registered voter of the City of Lester Prairie and at least 21 years of age.
If you are interested in being appointed to fill a vacancy of the City Council, please submit a letter of interest to the City Clerk’s office by Friday, January 3, 2014.
It is the City Council’s intent to appoint someone to fill the vacancy at their January 14th City Council meeting. The appointment will be through the year 2014 and then the position will be up for election in 2014 to fill the remaining term which expires in 2016.
