Notice is hereby given that quotations will be received by Delano Public School District #879 for snow plowing services for the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 snow plowing seasons. Quotations will be received at the Delano Public Schools District Office, 700 Elm Avenue East, Delano, MN 55328 until 11:00 AM, Monday, September 8, 2014.
Quotation requirements and specifications are available for interested vendors at the Delano Public Schools District Office, 700 Elm Avenue East, Delano, MN 55328 or by calling 763-972-3365 ext. 2118.
The Board reserves the right to reject any and all quotes or parts of such quotes, accept quotes it deems to be in its best interest, to waive any informalities or irregularities in quotes submitted and waive minor irregularities or discrepancies in quotation procedure.

Independent School District 879, Delano Public Schools
The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota, was held on Monday, July 28, 2014, at Delano City Hall. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 5:51 p.m. with the following members in attendance: Johnson, Milano, Durick, Baker, Larson and Seguin. Black was absent.
APPROVAL OF MEETING AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board reviewed discussion items: Tiger Activity Center Rate Proposal, Policy Updates, Strategic Plan Year Two, Principalsí Negotiation Update, Superintendentís Contract, MSHSL Membership Resolution, MOAís with Administrative Assistant and Custodians, and Board Retreat.
CONSENT AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board approved the regular meeting minutes of 6-23-14, the current budget status with year-to-date adjustments, investment transactions, wire transfers, Minnesota Liquid Assets fund, cash report, revenue and expense fund totals, expense reports and disbursements.

Board heard the following administrative reports: Superintendent Schoen reported on changes made to elementary and district office, Tiger Trail update, Strategic Plan Year Two work plans including demographic study update. M. Reeder reported on school board candidate filing and request for snow plowing bids. D. Johnson reported on CE summer program wrap-up, Concerts in the Park, Environmental Camp openings, CLIMB Theatre Camp openings, Tiger Kids Club and WEE Tiger Preschool registration. Board heard reports from MAWSECO and DASA.
NEW BUSINESS (approved unanimously)
First read of policies due to substantive and/or legal reference changes: Policy 406-Public and Private Personnel Data, Policy 414-Mandated Reporting of Child Neglect or Physical or Sexual Abuse, Policy 514- Bullying Prohibition Policy, Policy 515-Protection and Privacy of Pupil Records, Policy 516-Student Medication, Policy 521-Student Disability Nondiscrimination; Resolution for Membership in the Minnesota State High School League; first and only read of policies due to non-substantive and/or legal reference changes: Policy 503-Student Attendance, Policy 506-Student Discipline, Policy 509-Enrollment of Nonresident Students, Policy 615-Testing Accommodations, Modification, and Exemptions for IEPS, Section 504 Plans, and LEP Students, Policy 619-Staff Development for Standards; First read of new Policy 426-Affordable Care Act (ACA) Compliance Policy.
