Call for Quotes
Stockholm Township is now accepting quotes for the 2014 Mowing Season for the Stockholm Community Center located at 16233 County Road 30 SW, Cokato, MN and the Stockholm Township Cemetery located approximately mile East of the Stockholm Community Center on the North side of the road.
All quotes must be submitted by mail to: Stockholm Township, Attn: Clerk, 15234 County Road 30 SW, Cokato, MN 55321. Quotes must be received by 5:00pm on Friday, April 11, 2013. Please include the Mowing & Trimming frequency for the season in your quote. A current Certificate of Insurance must accompany each quote.
The township reserves the right to refuse any and all quotes. If you have any questions, please contact the township clerk, Jody Selseth at 612-270-3409.

Stockholm Township is now accepting quotes for gravel:
Quotes for approximately 5000 yards (more or less at the board’s discretion) of crushed Class 5 and/or Class 1 gravel to be hauled on Stockholm Township roads or picked up with the township truck at the vendor’s pit.
All quotes must be submitted by mail to: Stockholm Township, 15234 County Road 30 SW, Cokato, MN 55321. Quotes must be received by 5:00pm on Friday, April 11, 2014. Please include the anticipated date of delivery with your quote. A Certificate of Insurance must accompany each quote.
Quotes must be on a per yard basis. The Town Board reserves the right to take random samples for quality testing at the township’s expense. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any or all quotes in the best interest of the township.

CITY OF KINGSTON
Important Information Regarding Assessment and Classification of Property
This may affect your 2015 property tax payments
Notice is hereby given, that the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization for the City of Kingston in Meeker County, Minnesota, shall meet on the 21st day of April, 2014 from 7:00 - 7:30 P.M., at the Kingston Community Center. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor, and to determine whether corrections need to be made.
If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns. If you are still not satisfied with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board shall review the valuation, classification, or both if necessary, and shall correct it as needed. Generally, an appearance before your local board of appeal and equalization is required by law before an appeal can be taken to your county board of appeal and equalization.

UNOFFICIAL SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES I.S.D. #466, BOARD OF EDUCATION 7:00 PM SPECIAL BOARD MEETING, MARCH 10, 2014 DASSEL-COKATO MIDDLE SCHOOL COMMONS
In partnership with our communities, Dassel-Cokato Public Schools will provide all learners opportunities designed to maximize their potential and promote lifelong learning.
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 466 (Dassel-Cokato, Minnesota) was duly held in the Dassel-Cokato Middle School Commons, Cokato, Minnesota, on Monday, March 10, 2014.
Board Chairman Bjork called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
The following members were present: Bjork, Clemen, Tormanen, Linder, McConkey and Bender. The following were absent: none. Members of the administration and public were also present.
The meeting began with the pledge of allegiance.
Motion by Bender, seconded by McConkey, accepting the agenda as printed. Motion carried unanimously.
Members of the public were allowed to make brief comments. The board discussed a possible needs assessment.
Motion by Linder, seconded by Bender, to conduct the Success Indicators Survey as soon as possible. The board directed the administration to prepare the various stakeholder surveys included in past Success Indicator documents so they could be used to collect anonymous, current data for board use. Motion carried unanimously.
Being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:11 PM.

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 466 (Dassel-Cokato, Minnesota) was duly held in the Dassel-Cokato Board Room, Cokato, Minnesota, on Thursday, February 27, 2014.
Chairman Bjork called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
The following members were present: Clemen, Tormanen, McConkey, Bjork, Linder, and Bender. The following were absent: none. Members of the administration and public were also present.
The meeting began with the pledge of allegiance.
Motion by Clemen, seconded by Tormanen, accepting the agenda as printed. Motion carried unanimously.
Jacob Chap received the January Russell A. Johnson Courtesy and Respect Award, son of Roger and Julie Chap of Cokato. Christina Babb received the December Russell A. Johnson Courtesy and Respect Award daughter of James and Rebecca Babb of Cokato.
Board Chair Bjork moved agenda item 11.1 PSEO up in the agenda. A presentation was made by three PSEO students followed by question and answer with the board and administration.
Motion by Bender, seconded by McConkey, approving payment of bills as presented including payroll, hand payables and contingency totaling $1,810,708.87. Motion carried unanimously. (A complete list of bills is available from the District Office for review.)
Curriculum Advisory Committee (CAC) Report: None. Technology Report: None
MAWSECO Report: Board Member Tormanen reported on the 2/25 meeting which included reports on the Wings and Trek programs.
Community Education Report: Board Member McConkey reported on the February meeting which included: budget, staffing, and theatre.
Business Manager’s Report: Business Manager Palmer reported expenditures are in line with budget through the end of the eighth month of the fiscal year and reviewed the investment report with the board.

Student Report – Student Representative Marschall reported on: girls’ hockey, winter sports and activities, NHS, and Student Council.
Motion by Tormanen, seconded by Bender approving all consent items, which included approval of the minutes from the January 23, 2014 Regular Board Meeting, February 3, 2014 Special Board Meeting and the February 10, 2014 Special Board Meeting. Approval of Wire transfers made on January 31st for $560,000, February 11th for $200,000 and February 14th for $750,000. Personnel Items: Resignation of Deanna Baldwin as a Cokato Elementary Special Needs Para effective 2/5/2014, Resignation of Sarah Wolff as the District Food Service Secretary effective 2/14/2014, Retirement/ Resignation of Beth Boyle as a High School Spanish Instructor at the end of the 2013-2014 school year, Employment of Sarah Wolff as the Middle School Administrative Secretary effective 2/17/2014, Approval of Lane Change for Stephanie Schlangen from BA to BA+15, Increase in assignment for Kendra Konsor additional 5.5 hours/week as ECSE Para, Re-assignment for Patty Sterner from HS FOCUS Para to Dassel-Elementary Title I/Supervision Para effective 3/3/2014, Increase in assignment for Heidi Williams to 5 hours/day Dassel Kitchen Assistant 1/20/14, Re-assignment for Carol Janckila to 4 hours/day Dassel Kitchen Assistant 1/22/14, Employment of Monica Berg as 2.5 hours/day Cokato Kitchen Assistant effective 2/12/14, Resignation of Stephanie Corbin as the part-time HS Media Center Para effective 3/4/2014, Employment of Stephanie Corbin as the District Food Service Secretary 2/24/2014, Employment of Nichol Daley as the Transportation Driver Clerical support person and substitute CDL and Type III driver, Assignment of Neil Schlagel and Wade Powers as Spring Strength & Conditioning coaches, Employment of Emily Anderson as a Cokato Elem Special Needs Paraeducator. Motion carried unanimously.
Superintendent Powers gave a progress report on the All Day Every Day Kindergarten project.
Chairman Bjork summarized the superintendent’s evaluation which was positive and included ratings that were all above average.
Motion by Linder, second by Tormanen, ratifying changes to the superintendent’s contract for 2013-14 and 2014- 15 increasing the districts HAS contribution in 13-14 to $5200 and in 14-15 to $5675. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by McConkey, seconded by Clemen approving Trapshooting as a new spring activity. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Clemen, second by Tormanen approving the revised 2013-14 budget. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Tormanen, seconded by Clemen approving changes to Authorizing Signers of MS Contingency and Student Activity Account Drafts former Middle School Administrative Secretary Kim Johnson be removed as an authorized individual and that the new Middle School Administrative Secretary Sarah Wolff be an authorized individual to sign contingency account and student activity account drafts for the middle school building.
