The Board is taking applications to fill a supervisor position that has become vacant. This will be to fill out the term expiring in March of 2015 and will be appointed by the Board. UNOFFICIAL SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES I.S.D. #466, BOARD OF EDUCATION 7:00 PM SPECIAL BOARD MEETING, APRIL 14, 2014 DASSEL-COKATO BOARD ROOM
In partnership with our communities, Dassel-Cokato Public Schools will provide all learners opportunities designed to maximize their potential and promote lifelong learning.
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 466 (Dassel-Cokato, Minnesota) was duly held in the Dassel-Cokato Board Room, Cokato, Minnesota, on Monday, April 14, 2014.
Vice Chairman McConkey called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
The following members were present: Clemen, Tormanen, Linder, McConkey and Bender. The following were absent: Bjork. Members of the administration and public were also present.
The meeting began with the pledge of allegiance.
Motion by Tormanen, seconded by Bender, accepting the agenda as printed. Motion carried unanimously.
Two students from the ALC reported to the board on the ALC and answered questions from the board.
Motion by Linder, seconded by Clemen, denying the level III grievance brought by a local 284 member. McConkey shared the steps taken in the grievance investigation and recommended denying the grievance. Motion carried unanimously.
Being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:12 PM.

ISD 466 Call for Bids
On Vocational House
VOCATIONAL HOUSE: Bids will be accepted until Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 3:00 pm CDT for the purchase of a three bedroom, 30x50 or 1,500 sq. ft. home constructed by Dassel-Cokato vocational carpentry students. Minimum bid is $37,650 plus MN Sales Tax, which is currently 6.875% for a total of $40,238.44.
Features include:
• Maintenance free metal sofit and facia
• Maintenance free certainteed vinyl siding
• Andersen High Performance windows
• Electrical wiring performed by Lite Electric, Inc.
• Insulation is blown fiberglass with walls having R-23 and ceilings R-44, under the care of Ricky’s Insulation
• Plumbing roughed in by Opsahl Plumbing and Heating of Dassel
All necessary inspections have been completed by the MN Department of Labor and Industry. The home may be viewed by contacting Steve Ellis at D-C High School. All Bids must be submitted to Tina Palmer, Business Manager, ISD #466, 4852 Reardon Ave SW, Suite 1700, Cokato, MN 55321 and clearly marked “Vocational House Bid”.
All bids must state the bid price with an addition of the applicable state sales tax and the total of the bid plus tax. All bids must be accompanied by a cashier’s check payable to ISD #466 in the amount of 5% of the bid. This bid security will be kept by the district as liquidated damages in the event the high bidder does not purchase the house. The District reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids. The successful bidder must pay for the house by June 26, 2014 or forfeit bid security.
The house must be removed from school property by August 8, 2014, otherwise penalties will apply. Bids will be opened at 3:00 pm CDT, May 15, 2014 in the Dassel-Cokato Board Room and tabulated for the Board of Education consideration on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at 7:00 pm

GENERAL NOTICE
TO CONTROL OR ERADICATE NOXIOUS WEEDS
Notice Is Hereby given this 1st day of May 2014, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 18.83, subd. 7, (1992), that all persons in Meeker County, Minnesota shall control or eradicate all noxious weeds on land they own, occupy or are required to maintain. Control or eradication may be accomplished by any lawful method but the methods may need to be repeated in order to prevent the spread of viable noxious weed seeds and other propagating parts to other lands. Failure to comply with the general notice may mean that an individual notice will be issued. An individual notice may be appealed within three working days of receipt to the weed committee in the county where the land is located. Failure to comply with the individual notice will mean that the inspector having jurisdiction may either hire the work done or seek a misdemeanor charge against the person(s) who failed to comply. If the work is hired done by the inspector, the cost can be placed as a tax upon the land and collected as other real estate taxes are collected. You may obtain a list of the plants that are designated noxious and the members of the weed committee from your County Agricultural Inspector or Local Weed Inspector. The Local Weed Inspectors are township supervisors, city mayors or their appointed assistants.

Assessment Notice
Notice is hereby given that the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization of the City of Cokato of Wright County, Minnesota, will meet at the Office of the Clerk in said City at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, the 7th day of May, 2014 for the purpose of reviewing and correcting the assessment of said City of the year 2014. All persons considering themselves aggrieved by said assessment, or who wish to complain that the property of another is assessed too low, are hereby notified to appear at said meeting, and show cause of having such assessment corrected.
No complaint that another person is assessed too low will be acted upon until the person so assessed, or his agent, shall have been notified of such complaint.
