PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Bid package scope includes construction of all Earthwork, Site Utilities, Concrete, Precast, Masonry, Steel Supply, Steel Erection, Roofing, Hollow Metal Doors and Hardware, Aluminum Entrances and Storefronts, and Elevator.
BASIS OF BIDS: Prime Bids will be received for labor and materials as outlined in the Work Scope Descriptions as described in Section 01 12 20.
BID DATE AND LOCATION: Sealed bids will be received at Howard Lake High School Media Center, 8700 County Road 6 SW, Howard Lake, MN 55349 , then publicly opened and read aloud. Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. local time, on Thursday, March 20, 2014.

1. From the homepage, select “Set Your ARC Location” at the top of the page, then search “St. Louis Park”.

3. When it opens, select “Make This My Location” in the top right-hand corner.
4. Then, in the left column under “Planrooms”, select “Order from PlanWell”.
5. When the next page opens, skip the username section and in the left column under “Public Planroom”, select “Go”.
6. Once in the planroom, you may find the project and click on the project number link to the left.
7. Once in the project, select “Download Complete Set”, then “Instant Download”.
8. After Registration, select “Download Now”. You will be provided with a link to the files. Simply click it and save to your computer.

TIME OF COMPLETION: Owner requires Middle School Addition to be substantially complete on or before August 1, 2015 and fully complete before Sept. 1, 2015, and in accordance with the contract documents. Bids shall reflect all costs necessary to meet this schedule requirement.
PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: Contractor shall provide Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Sum.
OWNER’S RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS: Owner reserves the right to reject a Bid which is in any way incomplete or irregular or to waive informalities or irregularities in a Bid received, and accept a Bid, which in the Owner’s judgment is in the Owner’s best interests.
EXAMINATION OF DOCUMENTS AND SITE:
Examination of Documents: Bidders shall carefully examine entire contents of Contract Documents prepared for the Work to become thoroughly familiar with all requirements.
Examination of the Site: Bidders shall make arrangements with the Construction Manager to visit the project site to obtain first-hand knowledge of existing conditions, including existing utilities and services, obstacles which may be encountered and all other conditions relative to the Work to be performed.
Additional Compensation: Contractors shall not receive extra payments for conditions which can be determined by examining the site and the Contract Documents.
Pre-Bid Conference: A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on March 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Howard Lake High School, 8700 County Road 6 SW, Howard Lake, MN 55349.

YOU ARE HEREBY notified that the regular meeting of the McLeod County Planning Commission has been scheduled on Wednesday, the 26th day of March 2014 at 9:30 A.M. in the County Board Room on the lower level of the Courthouse at 830 - 11th Street East in Glencoe, Minnesota.
