TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS AND CREDITORS:
Notice is hereby given, that an application for informal probate of the above named decedent’s last Will dated February 28, 2016, has been filed with the Registrar herein, and the application has been granted informally probating such Will. Any objections may be filed in the above, and the same will be heard by the Court upon notice of hearing fixed for such purpose.
Notice is hereby further given that informal appointment of Louise M. Kiscaden, whose address is 228 South 3rd Street, Delano, MN 55328 as personal representative of the estate of the above named decedent, has been made. Any heir, devisee or other interested person may be entitled to appointment as personal representative or may object to the appointment of the personal representative. The personal representative is empowered to fully administer the estate including, after thirty (30) days from the date of issuance of letters, the power to sell, encumber, lease or distribute real estate, unless objections thereto are filed with the Court (pursuant to Section 524.3-607) and the Court otherwise orders.
Notice is further given that ALL CREDITORS having claims against said estate are required to present the same to said personal representative or to the Probate Court Administrator within four (4) months after the date of this notice or said claims will be barred.

Regular Meeting of theBoard of Education
Independent School District 879, Delano Public Schools
The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District 879, Delano, Minnesota, was held on Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at Delano City Hall. The meeting was called to order by the chair at 5:45 p.m. with the following members in attendance: Johnson, Seguin, Depa, Milano, Black and Briesemeister. Seguin arrived at 5:55 p.m. Absent: None.
APPROVAL OF MEETING AGENDA (approved unanimously)
WORK SESSION
Board reviewed discussion items: updates to the facility usage manual, an update from the POC Committee and an overall budget update, Policy 534 unpaid meal charges and forming a comparable school districts list.
PROGRAM REVIEW
Spirit of Community initiative – Nick Neaton, city of Delano.
CONSENT AGENDA (approved unanimously)
Board approved the regular meeting minutes of 9/25/17, and special meeting minutes from 9/27/17 and 10/2/17. It also approved the current budget status with year-to-date adjustments, investment transactions, construction bond investment transactions, wire transfers, Minnesota Liquid Asset fund, cash report, revenue and expense fund totals, expense reports and disbursements.

Board approved retirements/resignations/terminations, recommendations of employment and contract changes, including:
Retirements/Resignations/Terminations: Tiger Activity Center Supervisor. Recommendations of Employment: Zumba instructor, TKC program assistant (2), TKC program lead, youth football official (students, 4), Kindergarten LTS, volleyball camp asst. (2), ECFE parent educator, 7th grade girls basketball coach, DHS night custodian, substitute custodian, Wee Tiger Preschool asst./TKC program asst., CE youth football coach.
Contract Changes/Approvals/Position Changes: 2017-2019 food service staff labor agreement, 2017-2019 food service director labor agreement, 2017-2019 youth development coordinator labor agreement, 2017-2019 Tiger Kids Club coordinator labor agreement, ECSE teacher moving from 40 hours per week to 32 hours per week, ECSE paraprofessional moving from 32.5 hours per week to 29.5 hours per week, MOA – district health insurance contributions, DES recess paraprofessional increasing hours from three hours per day to four hours per day. Lane changes: Obtaining master’s degree – DMS grade 6 teacher. Leaves of Absence: DMS art teacher, DES custodian.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND BOARD REPORTS
Board heard the following administrative reports: Superintendent Schoen reported on the scheduled opening of the new high school entrance and an associated open house, and the Kindness in Chalk event. B. Voight reported on site improvement plans for 2016-17 and 2017-18, including goals for achievement and results. S. Heil reported on high school site improvement plans for 2016-17 and 2017-18, including goals for achievement and results. D. Schuler reported on elementary school site improvement plans for 2016-17 and 2017-18, including goals for achievement and results. M. Reeder reported on enrollment numbers and projections. D. Johnson reported on site improvement plans for 2016-17 and 2017-18. Board heard reports from: Student representatives, MAWSECO, Wright Technical Center, the District Advisory Committee, Schools for Equity in Education, Safe Schools, and the professional development committee.
NEW BUSINESS (approved unanimously)
Approved the 2017-18 Q-Comp program.
