Winsted City Council Minutes
Jan. 21, 2003
Present: Gerald Boldt, Tom Ollig, Bonnie Quast, Tom Wiemiller, Don Guggemos
Staff: Brent Mareck, Betty Zachmann, Attorney Eggert
Mayor called the meeting to order.
Quast motioned to accept the minutes of Jan. 7th as written, Wiemiller seconded, unanimously carried.
Bids for the Pole Building were opened, with the high bid of $1,551.00. After discussion, Ollig motioned to accept the high bid, with the understanding that the City may keep and move the building if it is needed, and will make final determination at the next meeting, Quast seconded, unanimously carried.
Fire Dept. media guide was tabled.
Doug Bebo representing the Summer Festival was present requesting the City allow a NTPA truck and tractor pull from 5-9 pm on Saturday and Sunday of the Festival. Insurance coverage is provided by NTP Assn. The pull is being proposed to be held at the Industrial Park next to 6th St. So. Council had some concerns regarding damage to the clay base that was put in this past year and parking issues. Additional information is being gotten by the City.
John Radde, commercial and industrial real estate agent was present with information for the sale of Industrial park lots. Examples were given for other Industrial sales he had done, along with costs for comparison. Action was tabled at this time.
It was reported that Millerbernd Mfg. has donated backboard, poles and basketball nets to be placed in the tennis court area, as the request for a basketball court has been requested by many residents in the past.
Wiemiller motioned to pay the following bills:

Boldt seconded, unanimously carried.
Quast motioned to adjourn, Wiemiller seconded, unanimously carried.
