PRESENTATION

FEB. 17, 2004

CITY HALL

Present; Don Guggemos, Gerald Boldt, Bonnie Quast, Tom Wiemiller Staff: Betty Zachmann, Brent Mareck, Officer Glen Strom

A presentation was given by National Water Products for radio read water meters which included types available, process for reading, integration with utility billing system, and costs. Discussion took place related to the meters. Council instructed the staff to prepare financial options and information for possible implementation.

Quast motioned to close the workshop, Boldt seconded, unanimously carried.

FEB. 17, 2004

REGULAR MEETING

7:00 PM

Mayor called the meeting to order.

Wiemiller motioned to accept the minutes of Feb. 3rd, as written, Boldt seconded, unanimously carried. Boldt motioned to accept the minutes of the Feb. 10th closed Meeting, Quast seconded, unanimously carried.

The proposed Mail Box Ordinance was reviewed, with one correction. Boldt motioned to hold a Public Hearing for the Mail Box Ordinance, at 7:00 PM, Mar. 16th meeting, Wiemiller seconded, unanimously carried.

“No Snowmobile” signs have been requested by the Public Cemetery Assn., council requested signs be gotten from DNR to be located on the entrances of the cemetery.

Officer Strom was present with a request for Mutual Aid with Minn. State Troopers to assist in promotion of traffic safety for the area. After discussion, Quast motioned the City enter into an agreement with Mn. State Troopers to provide mutual aid and assistance with traffic saturation in the area, Wiemiller seconded, unanimously carried.

Wiemiller motioned to change the meeting date for next meeting to Monday, Mar 1st, due to caucus’s being held on Tuesday, Quast seconded, unanimously carried.

Boldt motioned to hold the Board of Appeals on May 4, 2004 at 6:30 PM, City Hall, Quast seconded, unanimously carried.

Wiemiller motioned to approve a gambling Permit for Ducks Unlimited for April 13, 2004 at the Blue Note, Quast seconded, unanimously carried.

Quast motioned to pay the following bills:

General Chk Nos. 5694-5729 $45,224.77

Chk Nos.10803-10808 $1,028.80

Payroll Chk Nos. 5467-5478 $11,586.24

Fire Dept Check Nos. 3997-4004 $589.91

Boldt seconded, unanimously carried.

Peopleservice was awarded a Certificate of Commendation for Outstanding Maintenance and Operations of the Wastewater Facility in Winsted by Minn. Pollution Control Agency.

Update given on Access Channel was given, the equipment will be stored at the City Hall until cable is placed at the Herald Journal.

Quast motioned to adjourn, Wiemiller seconded, unanimously carried.
