Mayor Stotko called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

 

Paul Ragozzino, Cuningham Group, presented the roles of a General Contractor or Construction Manager for a project like the City of Winsted’s City Center and Lakefront Promenade.

 

Rollie Radtke, RAM Buildings, Incorporated, was present at the meeting to provide information on the use of a Construction Manager for a large project like the City of Winsted’s City Center and Lakefront Promenade.

 

The Council discussed the use of a General Contractor or Construction Manager for the City Center and Lakefront Promenade project.  They directed Ragozzino and Radtke to prepare a report stating the pros and cons of using a General Contractor or Construction Manager for large projects.  They asked Ragozzino and Radtke to include an opinion on what type of construction leadership they would recommend for the City Center and Lakefront Promenade project.  The Council asked that the report be prepared to be presented at the April 17, 2007 regular City Council meeting.

 

Ragozzino presented the proposed City Center drawings, exterior and interior finishes, and the site plan.  He also presented the Lakefront Promenade site plan, and the landscaping site plan for both the City Center and Lakefront Promenade.

 

Mareck presented a draft budget of the City Center and Lakefront Promenade project, a proposed bond schedule, and a draft project schedule.

 

Mareck asked the Council for permission to include the project, project costs, approval to advertise for bids, and establish a Public Hearing on the May 1, 2007 regular City Council meeting agenda for discussion.  The Council approved.

 

Ollig motioned to adjourn.  Mochinski  seconded.  Motion carried 5-0.
