Winsted City Council Minutes
MARCH 2, 2000
Present: Floyd Sneer, Gary Lenz, Jeff Albers, Tom Wiemiller, Bob Kegler
Staff: Aaron Reeves, Betty Zachmann; Attorney Eggert was absent.
Mayor called the meeting to order.
Kegler motioned to accept the minutes as written, Wiemiller seconded, unanimously carried.
Six residents were present, along with several persons from Minn. Historical Society, to discuss the city hall. After discussion, Lenz motioned to instruct Reeves to work with the Concerned Citizens, exploring other avenues. Wiemiller seconded, unanimously carried.
BRA Engineer Boyum was present with results of the bid opening for Curb, Gutter, and Seal Coating, which were:

Upon recommendation from Boyum, Albers adopted Resolution No. 331-03-02-00, accepting the bid from French Lake Curb Company, in the amount of $411,729.80, deleting the Alternate Bid from the project. Kegler seconded, unanimously carried.
Reeves informed council the City had to do a Environmental Assessment Worksheet on the City Hall, and also an Asbestos Hazardous Material Survey for the building before any action can be taken with the building. After discussion, Albers motioned to proceed with the EAW and AHMA, not to exceed $4,000.00. Lenz seconded, unanimously carried.
Lenz motioned to pay $2,800.91 from the Fire Fund for additional equipment for the new truck, using Expansion fund budget. Kegler seconded, unanimously carried.
Kegler motioned to hold the Board of Review on May 2nd, at 6:30 p.m., City Hall, with the regular meeting to follow. Wiemiller seconded, unanimously carried.
Wiemiller motioned to pay the following bills:
General 1230-1292 $65,561.54
Payroll 3351-3361 $9,528.47
Fire Dept. 3298-3310 $6,255.76
Kegler seconded, unanimously carried.
Lenz motioned to adopt Ordinance No. 03-00, Annexing certain land owned by Marvin and Jill Fiecke. Kegler seconded, Albers abstained, motion carried.
Kegler motioned to approve a Gambling License for Ducks Unlimited at the Blue Note on April 18th. Lenz seconded, unanimously carried.
Lenz motioned to adjourn. Albers seconded, unanimously carried.
