Mayor called for the Special meeting.
Representatives of the Fire Dept. were present with bids recommendations. Upon review of the bids, and after reference review, and upon the recommendation of the firemen, Lenz motioned to adopt Resolution No. 285, accepting the bid from TDJ Construction, in the amount of $439,850, plus $1,100 add on, Kegler seconded, unanimously carried. Mayor and Clerk are empowered to sign same.
The firemen will appoint one representative as contact during construction of the hall and as liaison to Council. It was noted that the City received complaints and was disappointed with the Architect during the bidding process.
NSP complaints were tabled until June 16 mtg.
No comments from McLeod County Variance request by D Sterner to install a septic system within 50 ft. of Winsted Lake.
Kegler motioned to contract with Denise Hertzog to do the gardening of Gardner flowers, and bushes in the parks and entrances at $6.50 per hour, Ollig seconded, unanimously carried.
Lenz motioned to execute an agreement with Dave Mochinski allowing a pop machine at Lake Park for one year, all liabilities incurred by Mochinski, Kegler seconded, unanimously carried.
Kegler motioned to grant the following licenses:
On and Off Sale and Sunday On Sale Liquor Licenses to: Blue Note of Winsted, Kim-Kent Entrp. (Bailey's), The Woods Group(Keg's Bar), Thomas Mickolichek(Comer Bar). Club Licenses and Sunday Liquor: American Legion. Off Sale Non Intox. (3.2). Licenses: Tom Thumb Market, Casey's Convenience Store. On Sale Non Intox. (3.2): Winsted Baseball Club Inc.
Lenz seconded, unanimously carried.
Lenz motioned to adjourn, Kegler seconded, unanimously carried.
