Wright County Board Minutes |
JUNE 27, 2002 The Wright County Board met in special session at 2:25 P.M. with Mattson, Jude, and Russek present. An attempt was made to notify Sawatzke and Eichelberg of the meeting but they could not be reached. Genell Reese, Civil Defense Director, requested that the Board adopt a resolution declaring a State of Emergency in Wright County due to the flash flooding which occurred. On a motion by Jude, second by Mattson, roll call vote carried 3-0 to adopt Resolution #02-38: RESOLUTION DECLARING A STATE OF EMERGENCY WHEREAS the flash flooding impacted the population of Wright County; and WHEREAS the event has caused a significant amount of damage to County, City, Township and Public property; and WHEREAS the Wright County Civil Defense, Department of Emergency Management, requests the Wright County Board of Commissioners to declare Wright County in a STATE OF EMERGENCY for the flash flood event of 2002; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Wright County Board of Commissioners declares Wright County in a State of Emergency for conditions resulting from the flash flood event of June 21-25, 2002. The meeting adjourned at 2:26 P.M. |
