Plenty of housing options in Delano

Located on the western fringe of the Twin Cities metropolitan area, Delano offers small-town living just a short distance away from big city entertainment.

It is a region that is growing rapidly. There were 2,264 households residing in Delano as of February 2007. That number has increased by 610 households since 1999. From 2006 to 2007, the number increased by 361.

To keep up with the incoming residents, there are many housing developments that have been added to the area since 2000. There are housing choices that include different house styles, floor plans, and lot sizes that can be purchased in all price ranges for those who wish to own their own home.

In addition, there are town houses and apartments for those who wish to rent including affordable choices for the low and moderate-income households.

As the housing needs in Delano continue to grow, so does the need for senior, disabled and handicapped housing. The Delano economic development (Delano EDA) provides just that, a safe, secure place in which the elderly, disabled or handicapped citizens of Delano can reside comfortably.
