Mid-County offers fixed fuel rates for customers

By Kristen Miller, Staff Writer

With winter temperatures on the way, Mid-County Co-op offers competitive pricing and fixed fuel rates for its customers, while delivering its products with honesty, integrity, and value.

Mid-County Co-op has been serving the heating and fuel needs of central Minnesota since 1935, and continues to provide a wide range of services to its customers.

Based out of Cologne, Minn., Mid-County has four major divisions including an automotive and tire center, a convenience store, agronomy division, and an energy division.

The energy division is the largest in the company, supplying gas, diesel, heating oils, E-85, soy, biodiesel, propane and petroleum equipment, servicing agricultural, commercial, and residential needs.

Mid-County invested in its agronomy division in the 1970s to provide farmers with fertilizer and crop spraying.

This division is the company’s second largest division, which includes plant food, crop protection, seed, and custom applications.

Bill Reimers, general manager of Mid-County, offers this advice for winter heating.

“The most important thing to remember is making sure the tank has adequate levels of fuel—don’t let it run too low,” he said.

Reimers anticipates heating oil costs to be a bit lower this year than last year, but offers competitive and fixed fuel prices for Mid-County customers.

For example, a farmer can buy fuel or propane at a fixed or annual contract price, in which the price won’t change for the length of the contract.

Mid-County has three trucks on the road, which provide customers with a quick response.
