Pro Home Improvement gives circle of confidence

By Kristen Miller, Staff Writer

Pro Home Improvement Inc. located in Hutchinson, gives the customer a circle of confidence that it is well-known, well-designed, and customer motivated.

Owner Larry Murphy has been in the construction business since 1973 and is known for giving his attention to detail, friendly service, and job site clean up.

Pro Home specializes in affordable remodeling, additions, window replacements, siding, eaves and overhangs, gutters and decks. Their goal is to minimize exterior home maintenance for the home owner.

Murphy conducts in-home appointments to get a full understanding of the customer’s needs and provides a timely quote based on those requests. The quote is not an estimate, but an actual cost of the project, including subcontractor work such as electrical, plumbing, drywall, and more. Items generally not included in a price quote are, floor coverings, painting, or landscaping, but can be if desired.

“Jobs are handled from start to finish,” Murphy said.

“Given the opportunity, we are known to do the customer proud,” he added.

The company’s motto is, “Here to serve, local to see,” which means they are very well-known in the area with their ability to design and work with the customers.

“We have excellent rapport which allows us repeat business and customer referrals,” he said.

Murphy and his crew are nearing completion of an extensive remodel to a home in the Hutchinson area including, kitchen, bathrooms, decks, interior and exterior doors and railings.

“Everyone thinks it’s such a hastle to remodel, but this was easier than I thought,” said home owner, Judy Neufeld.

The 1960s home had wrought iron railings and pillars and dark wood work. Pro Home replaced all the iron and much of the interior trim with soft wood to bring the home up to date.

The crew has done a “wonderful job of cleanup after each day,” she said, including vacuuming and pick-up of materials.

“Everything has gone really well,” Neufeld said.

“They come when they say they will, we got what we asked for. They are very accommodating and I would recommend them to anyone,” she said.
