Bergen Township

Meetings are at 7 p.m. the second Thursday of every month at the town hall. All voting is at the town hall, except for school district elections.

Bergen Township meets at the town hall located at 16595 Babcock Ave., Lester Prairie. Township items may be mailed to 1252 165th Street, Norwood Young America, MN 55397.

Recycling stations

The township does not provide recycling. Call the household hazard waste facility in Hutchinson at 800-335-0575 or (320) 234-7166 for more information about recycling.

Burning permits

Residents can get burning permits from the clerk or supervisors.

Building permits

Building permits may be obtained by calling McLeod County at (320) 864-1259.

Garbage pickup

The township doesn’t provide garbage service. Residents must arrange with a local sanitation company for pickup.

Gas

The township has no gas lines. Residents should contact a local gas company for a liquid propane gas tank and service.
