TUESDAY, JULY 19

1:09 a.m. — Deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence on McLeod Avenue in Plato. The situation was mediated.

1:35 p.m. — A deputy responded to an animal complaint at a residence on 20th Street, southeast of Brownton. The animal was removed from the residence.

2:44 p.m. — An obstruction was reported in the road way in the area of Tagus Avenue and 210th Street, north of Hutchinson. The county highway department was notified.

4:08 p.m. — A deputy filled out a solid waste form for a garbage dump in the area of Garden Avenue and 235th Street, northeast of Silver Lake.

6:48 p.m. — A deputy responded to a neighbor dispute at a residence on Powers Street in Stewart.

7:52 p.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a dispute at a residence on 225th Street, south of Winsted. The situation was mediated.

10:34 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Allina Ambulance responded to a medical at a residence on Falcon Avenue, north of Glencoe. A person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 20

5:06 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted Hutchinson police with two suspicious people at a business on Lake Street SW in Hutchinson.

8:51 p.m. — Deputies responded to a burglary at a residence on Dairy Avenue, northeast of Glencoe.

8:56 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Brownton Police Department responded to a report of suspicious activity near a business on Bowman Street in Stewart. Tyler Holtberg, 19, of Stewart, was arrested on pending charges of contempt of court and taken to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe.

10:39 p.m — The sheriff’s office and Brownton Police Department assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a report of an unwanted person at a business on Armstrong Avenue in Glencoe. Officers were unable to find the person.

10:57 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Lester Prairie Police Department assisted the Winsted Police Department with a disturbance at a residence on Baker Avenue in Winsted.

11:55 p.m. — Deputies responded to a report of an unwanted person at a residence on 100th Street, southwest of Plato. The situated was mediated, and the deputies advised the people involved that it was a civil issue.

THURSDAY, JULY 21

4:11 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Silver Lake police, first responders and ambulance with a medical at a residence on Main Street in Silver Lake. The person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

5:09 p.m. — A deputy took a report of a theft at a residence on Highway 22, southeast of Hutchinson.

5:40 p.m. — A deputy responded to a reported theft at a business on Babcock Avenue, south of Winsted.

7:07 p.m. — Deputies responded to a report of an underage drinking party at Piepenburg Park, north of Hutchinson. A juvenile runaway from Oklahoma was found. Tyler Beavers, 21, of San Jacinto, California, was arrested on pending charges of furnishing alcohol to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Beavers was taken to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe.

10:29 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Winsted police with a burglar alarm at a business on Kingsley Street S in Winsted. Everything was fine; the alarm was tripped by an employee. A citation was issued.

FRIDAY, JULY 22

2:12 a.m. — The sheriff’s office provided backup to the Silver Lake Police Department for suspicious activity near the intersection of Main Street and Grove Street in Silver Lake.

3:38 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted Winsted police with an unwanted person at a business on Fourth Street N in Winsted. The Ridgeview Ambulance responded and took the individual to a hospital for evaluation.

3:51 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office in searching for a suspect from a domestic that had happened earlier in Hutchinson. A deputy found the suspect, who was arrested by the Hutchinson Police Department on a probable cause charge of domestic assault and taken to the McLeod County Jail.

12:57 p.m. — Deputies mediated a situation involving a juvenile on Kale Avenue, south of Silver Lake.

1:59 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office with a one-vehicle rollover on 40th Street, west of New Auburn. The New Auburn Fire Department and Allina Ambulance also responded.

3:43 p.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a motor vehicle property damage crash at the intersection of Tagus Avenue and Belle Lake Road, north of Hutchinson. A 2001 Chevy Tahoe, driven by Mikkayla Tews, 20, and owned by Matthew Tews, both of Hutchinson, had over $1,000 in damage. There were no injuries.

8:41 p.m. — A deputy assisted the Winsted police with a verbal domestic at a residence on First Street N in Winsted. The situation was mediated.

8:52 p.m. — A deputy responded to a report of property damage at a residence on 130th Street, northeast of Brownton.

8:55 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with loose animals at a business on Dairy Avenue, east of Glencoe. The animals were returned to their owners.

9:13 p.m. — A suspicious vehicle was reported in the area of 75th Street and Lace Avenue, east of Brownton. The vehicle was confirmed as a stolen vehicle, and the registered owner was notified.

SATURDAY, JULY 23

2:19 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted Hutchinson police with a person who was lying in the roadway in the area of Lynn Road SW and Clinton Avenue SW in Hutchinson. A Hutchinson officer arrested the person.

11:25 a.m. — A utility pole was reported to be sparking in the area of Highway 7 and Fox Avenue, east of Silver Lake. The Silver Lake Fire Department also responded. There was no fire.

12:29 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson police and fire departments with a carbon monoxide alarm at a business on Dale Street SW in Hutchinson. The building was evacuated.

8:44 p.m. — A deputy responded to a vehicle in a ditch in the area of County Road 7 and 115th Street, northeast of Stewart. There were no injuries and no damage to the vehicle, which was pulled out by a private party.

11:44 p.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a suspicious vehicle in the area of Highway 15 and 225th Street, north of Hutchinson. Paul Harju, 21, of Cokato, was arrested on a probable cause charge of fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and taken to the McLeod County Jail.

SUNDAY, JULY 24

8:41 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a report of a burglary at a business north of Plato.

10:32 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a possible domestic on Eagle Avenue, northeast of Glencoe. The situation was mediated.

12:12 p.m. — A theft was reported at a residence on Highway 22, southeast of Biscay.

12:30 p.m. — The Brownton First Responders, Allina Ambulance and the sheriff’s office responded to a medical on 85th Court, north of Brownton. A person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

1:36 p.m. — The Silver Lake First Responders, Allina Ambulance and the sheriff’s office responded to a medical on 228th Street, northeast of Silver Lake. A person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

MONDAY, JULY 25

1:16 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted Glencoe police with a suspicious vehicle in Oscar Olson Park in Glencoe. Deputies found the driver, who was issued a citation.

8:57 a.m. — The Silver Lake First Responders, Silver Lake Ambulance and the sheriff’s office responded to a medical at a residence on Jade Avenue, south of Silver Lake. A person was taken to the Hutchinson hospital by ambulance.

2:23 p.m. — A deputy responded to a report of property damage at a residence on Babcock Avenue, south of Plato, and advised the reporting party that it was a civil issue.

3:27 p.m. — Deputies responded to a report of shots being fired in the area of Kale Drive and Swan Lake Road, northwest of Silver Lake. They spoke to the reporting party, but were unable to locate the source of the shots.

5:21 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Silver Lake police with a report of suspicious activity near a residence on Main Street in Silver Lake. A deputy spoke to individuals and advised them that they needed a permit to sell magazines door to door in the city. They were asked to leave.

8:10 p.m. — A driving complaint was received regarding a vehicle in the area of Highway 22 and 120th Street, northwest of Glencoe. A deputy stopped the vehicle and issued a citation.

10:27 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported at a business on Highway 212, east of Glencoe. A deputy checked the area and everything was fine.
