TUESDAY, AUG. 2

10:07 a.m. — A deputy responded to a requested welfare check on an individual at a residence on Falcon Avenue, north of Glencoe. The deputy spoke to the person and advised them of options.

7:04 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Plato First Responders and Allina Ambulance responded to a medical on 80th Street, southeast of Glencoe. A person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 3

4:22 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Allina Ambulance responded to a medical at a residence on 120th Street, north of Glencoe. A person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

6:51 p.m. — A deputy responded to a reported theft at a business on South Street in Stewart.

8:14 p.m. — A complaint regarding an ATV at Swan Lake Park, northwest of Silver Lake, was received. A deputy spoke to the individual on the ATV about their conduct.

8:58 p.m. — A suspicious vehicle was reported at a business on Highway 7 E in Hutchinson. A deputy spoke with the driver and everything was fine.

9:11 p.m. — A juvenile was reported missing from a residence on Prior Street in Stewart. The youth was found and returned to the parents.

9:14 p.m. — Property damage was reported at a residence on Major Avenue, southeast of Hutchinson.

THURSDAY, AUG. 4

6:54 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to several weather-related calls throughout the county, assisting with downed power lines, trees down and blocking roadways and a sagging telephone line.

7:17 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol with a semi that was blown onto its side by high winds on Highway 15 near 150th Street, south of Hutchinson. The Hutchinson Fire Department and Allina Ambulance also responded.

8:24 a.m. — A deputy checked on a house on 240th Street, north of Silver Lake, which had a fallen tree on it. The residence lost electrical power, but everything else was fine.

12 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Glencoe Police Department assisted the Minnesota State Patrol with a hit-and-run accident that occurred in the area of Highway 15 and Highway 212, west of Brownton.

6:52 p.m. — A dog was reported stolen from an address on 110th Street, east of Glencoe.

8:26 p.m. — Gregory Scott Post, 60, of Glencoe, was taken to the Glencoe hospital after a one-vehicle accident on County Road 2 near 155th Street, north of Glencoe. Allina Ambulance and the Glencoe Fire Department also responded.

FRIDAY, AUG. 5

7:57 a.m. — A deputy responded to a burglary at a residence on Boone Road, east of Plato.

10:29 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe police with a medical at a residence on 15th Street E in Glencoe. The Allina Ambulance also responded, and took a person to the hospital.

11 a.m. — The sheriff’s office provided backup to the Hutchinson Police Department for a theft from a business on Montreal Street SE in Hutchinson.

5:35 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Brownton Police Department with an unwanted person at a residence on Third Avenue S in Brownton. The individuals were separated.

5:40 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Glencoe Fire Department and Allina Ambulance responded to a one-vehicle accident in the area of Ideal Avenue and 85th Street, southwest of Glencoe. There were no injuries. The vehicle, a 2003 Grumman-Olsen commercial van, driven by David Johnson, 58, of Glencoe, had over $1,000 in damage.

9:48 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Brownton Police Department with a two-vehicle accident near a business on Fifth Avenue N in Brownton. A Brownton officer arrested one person on a probable cause charge of driving while intoxicated.

11:15 p.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a noise complaint at a residence on 100th Street, north of Brownton. A deputy spoke with individuals about the complaint.

SATURDAY, AUG. 6

12:17 a.m. — A deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of 100th Street and Tagus Avenue, northwest of Brownton, and arrested Christopher Merlin Buckentin, 29, of Brownton, on a probable cause charge of driving while intoxicated. He was taken to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe.

1:15 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson First Responders and Allina Ambulance responded to a medical at a residence on Highway 22, east of Hutchinson. The person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

1:33 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson First Responders, Hutchinson police and Allina Ambulance responded to a medical in the area of 210th Street and Tagus Avenue, north of Hutchinson. A person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

2:03 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe police with a report of some unwanted persons at a business on Greeley Avenue in Glencoe. The individuals left with a responsible person.

1:37 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Minnesota State Patrol assisted the Brownton police with a domestic on Sixth Avenue S in Brownton. The individuals were separated.

3:40 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Glencoe police responded to a report of shots fired near a residence on Falcon Avenue, north of Glencoe. The deputy spoke with the individuals involved.

7:45 p.m. — A deputy arrested Antonio John Grego, 23, of Waterville, on a probable cause charge of driving while intoxicated at a traffic stop in the area of County Road 2 and Harvest Road, north of Glencoe. The driver was taken to the jail in Glencoe.

10:59 p.m. — A deputy responded to a noise complaint in the area of Highway 22 and Lace Avenue, southeast of Biscay, and spoke to the individuals about the complaint.

SUNDAY, AUG. 7

12:44 a.m. — Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch near a residence on County Road 2, north of Glencoe. Deputies spoke to the driver and everything was fine. There was no damage to the vehicle nor injuries.

2:13 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson police with a one-vehicle accident in the area of Main Street and Fourth Avenue in Hutchinson. The Allina Ambulance also responded. The driver was arrested by a Hutchinson officer on a probable cause charge of driving while intoxicated.

6:28 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Winsted Police Department assisted the Lester Prairie Police Department with finding a runaway juvenile in the area of Highway 7 and County Road 9, north of Lester Prairie. The juvenile was found and taken to the Hutchinson hospital for evaluation.

9:30 p.m. — A deputy responded to a report of a harassing phone call at a residence on 100th Street, north of Brownton.

MONDAY, AUG. 8

12:11 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Glencoe police and fire departments and Allina Ambulance all assisted with an uncooperative inmate at the McLeod County Jail. The inmate was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

12:50 p.m. — A deputy spoke with an individual on 175th Street, south of Lester Prairie, regarding a possible fraud.

3:29 p.m. — A smell of natural gas was reported at a business on Highway 212, east of Stewart. A deputy spoke to an employee, who said everything was fine. The deputy returned later and again spoke with the employee. The gas company repaired the leak.

3:33 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol with a two-vehicle accident in the area of Highway 7 and Babcock Avenue, northwest of Lester Prairie. The Winsted police, Lester Prairie First Responders and Ridgeview Ambulance also responded. Deputies assisted with traffic control.

3:54 p.m. — A deputy responded to a garbage dump complaint in the area of 130th Street and Garden Avenue, north of Glencoe, and filled out a garbage dump form.

4:49 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Winsted Police Department responded to a report of a theft of a vehicle from a residence on 225th Street, south of Winsted.

6:17 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Lester Prairie and Winsted police departments responded to a report of a suicidal juvenile in the area of County Road 9 and 212th Street, north of Lester Prairie. A deputy took the youth to the Hutchinson hospital for evaluation.
