TUESDAY, OCT. 7

2:12 a.m. — Cows were reported loose on the road in the area of County Road 9 and Highway 7, north of Lester Prairie. A deputy contacted the owner and the cows were corralled.

9:51 a.m. — A garbage dump was reported in the area of 125th Street and Major Avenue, northwest of Glencoe.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 8

4:12 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Winsted Police Department with a disturbance at a residence on Baker Avenue E in Winsted. Most of the individuals had left before the officers arrived.

7:49 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources with a complaint of trees being cut down at Baker’s Lake, south of Brownton. Everything was fine.

9:17 a.m. — A deputy took a burglary report on 155th Street, north of Glencoe.

11:23 a.m. — A deputy took a report regarding an animal complaint on 190th Street, west of Lester Prairie.

11:42 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Plato First Responders and Ridgeview Ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Zebra Avenue, southeast of Plato. The person was taken by ambulance to the Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia.

1:09 p.m. — A deputy responded to an animal complaint on East Street in Stewart and issued a warning.

4:25 p.m. — A theft report was taken at a business on Highway 7, east of Hutchinson.

6:33 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a possible domestic on Newton Avenue N in Glencoe. The situation was mediated.

7:46 p.m. — A loud explosion was reported near the Hutchinson airport. The sheriff’s office and the Hutchinson Police Department checked the area but were unable to find any fire or source of an explosion.

7:51 p.m. — A deputy investigated a trespassing complaint on 175th Street, east of Lester Prairie, and determined that it was a civil matter.

7:56 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with a report of shots being fired on Huron Street SE in Hutchinson. Officers spoke with people in the area, none of whom had heard any shots.

9:24 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Lester Prairie Police Department, Lester Prairie First Responders and the Ridgeview Ambulance with a medical emergency on Central Avenue in Lester Prairie. The person was taken to the Glencoe hospital by ambulance.

THURSDAY, OCT. 9

7:09 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a 9-1-1 call from a residence on Zane Avenue, southwest of Hutchinson. An individual had fallen but refused medical treatment.

1:18 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol, responded to a domestic situation on 80th Street, southeast of Glencoe. The situation was mediated and the individuals were separated.

8:33 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Minnesota State Patrol and Silver Lake Police Department responded to a driving complaint in the area of Highway 7 and Dairy Avenue, east of Silver Lake. The vehicle was stopped by a state trooper, who made an arrest.

10:24 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Lester Prairie Police Department with a suspicious person in the area of Highway 7 and County Road 9, north of Lester Prairie. The Lester Prairie officer spoke to the individual.

FRIDAY, OCT. 10

4:01 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson First Responders and Allina Ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Nature Avenue, northeast of Hutchinson. A person was taken to the Hutchinson hospital by ambulance.

6:28 a.m. — A “rolling” medical emergency was reported in the area of Highway 7 and Babcock Avenue, north of Lester Prairie. The driver pulled over and a person was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Waconia. Responding were the sheriff’s office, Lester Prairie First Responders and Ridgeview Ambulance.

8:04 a.m. — A car-deer accident was reported in the area of Bergen Road and 165th Street, south of Lester Prairie. There were no injuries.

9:28 a.m. — Loose cattle were reported in the area of Orange Avenue and 200th Street, east of Hutchinson. A deputy found the owners and the cattle were corralled.

9:43 a.m. — Deputies assisted with an uncooperative inmate at the McLeod County Jail.

9:49 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Silver Lake Police Department with a juvenile who refused to go to school; the deputy drove the child to school in Glencoe.

10:14 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Silver Lake Ambulance and Silver Lake First Responders were called to a medical emergency on 180th Street, southwest of Silver Lake. The person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

2:31 p.m. — A duffel bag with clothing was found in a ditch in the area of Zion Avenue and Lake Drive in Winsted.

5:32 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Lester Prairie Police Department with a disturbance on Kennedy Avenue S in Lester Prairie. A person was issued a trespass notice.

5:54 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Lester Police Department, Lester Prairie First Responders and Ridgeview Ambulance all responded to a medical emergency on Second Avenue S in Lester Prairie.

6:12 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Minnesota State Patrol and Hutchinson Police Department responded to a report of a person with a weapon in the area of Highway 22 and Highway 7, east of Hutchinson. It was determined that there was no weapon.

6:17 p.m. — A deputy asked for extra patrol in the area of 175th Street, southwest of Lester Prairie, after receiving a trespassing complaint.

SATURDAY, OCT. 11

3:17 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with a fight at a business on Highway 15 S in Hutchinson. The situation was mediated.

7:18 p.m. — A car-deer accident was reported in the area of Airport Road and Jefferson Road S, south of Hutchinson. There were no injuries.

11:30 a.m. — A deputy found a purse in a ditch in the area of Airport Road and County Road 7, south of Hutchinson.

1:28 p.m. — The sheriff’s office took a report of suspicious activity in the area of 150th Street and Undulate Court, southwest of Hutchinson.

2:56 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson First Responders and Allina Ambulance responded to a medical emergency at a business on 240th Street, north of Hutchinson. The person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

9:20 p.m. — A suspicious person was reported in the area of School Road SW and McDonald Drive SW in Hutchinson. A deputy picked up the person and took them to a local motel.

SUNDAY, OCT. 12

1:28 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with an unwanted male at a residence on Eighth Street E in Glencoe. Officers were unable to find the individual.

3:30 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a report of suspicious activity on Desoto Avenue in Glencoe.

6:47 a.m. — The sheriff’s office took a burglary report at a business on Dorans Street in Biscay.

8:15 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department at the Glencoe hospital, where a patient was trying to leave without a doctor’s consent.

6:11 p.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a garbage dump on 225th Street, north of Hutchinson.

7:18 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a domestic dispute on Newton Avenue N in Glencoe. One person was arrested by a Glencoe officer.

MONDAY, OCT. 13

1:43 a.m. — A suspicious person was discovered at a business on Nature Avenue, northeast of Brownton. A deputy took the person to a hotel in Glencoe.

10:18 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Plato First Responders and Glencoe ambulance responded to a medical emergency at a business on Highway 212, east of Glencoe. The person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

1:27 p.m. — A deputy took a theft report at a business on Highway 15, west of Brownton.

1:31 p.m. — Deputies assisted the Wright County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension with a warrant search in the area of 150th Street and Walden Avenue, southwest of Hutchinson.

4:48 p.m. — A car-deer accident occurred in the area of 180th Street and County Road 2, south of Silver Lake. There were no injuries.

8:46 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a report of suspicious activity in the area of Armstrong Avenue N and Ninth Street E in Glencoe. Two people were arrested and taken to the McLeod County Jail.

11:49 p.m. — A vehicle was reported to be in a ditch in the area of 180th Street and Ideal Avenue, south of Silver Lake. No one was injured. the vehicle, a 1997 Chevrolet Malibu, owned by Laura Olson of Silver Lake and driven by Bradley James Shatto, 23, of Silver Lake, had over $1,000 in damage. A citation was issued. The Silver Lake Police Department assisted at the scene.
