TUESDAY, SEPT. 16

1:30 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Silver Lake Police Department with a possible domestic in the area of Frank Street W and Lake Avenue N in Silver Lake. Everything was fine.

2:18 p.m. — A dog bite was reported on Underwood Avenue, southeast of Stewart. The person who was bitten drove himself to the Hutchinson hospital for treatment.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 17

2:19 p.m. — A deputy came upon a loose horse on Major Avenue, east of Hutchinson, and notified the owner.

3:21 p.m. — A suspicious item, which turned out to be a decomposed deer carcass, was reported in the area of 210th Street and Major Avenue, northwest of Silver Lake.

3:30 p.m. — A deputy took a report of a theft from a business on South Street in Stewart.

5:20 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Stewart First Responders and Buffalo Lake Ambulance responded to a medical emergency at a residence on Highway 212, east of Stewart. The person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

6:37 p.m. — A deputy responded to a hunting complaint near an address on Garden Avenue, southeast of Silver Lake.

9:06 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department and the Glencoe Ambulance with a medical emergency on 11th Street W in Glencoe. The person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 18

9:11 a.m. — The sheriff’s office and Glencoe Police Department responded to a report of an individual yelling in the Law Enforcement Center parking lot. Everything was fine.

10:06 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported on Grass Lake Road, west of Winsted. A deputy spoke to the property owner.

10:56 a.m. — A deputy responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle near a residence on 175th Street, south of Lester Prairie. The deputy spoke to the driver and asked them to leave the area.

1:56 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Stewart First Responders and Buffalo Lake Ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Herbert Street in Stewart. The person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

2:25 p.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a verbal domestic on 220th Street, north of Hutchinson. Allina Ambulance also responded, and took one person to the hospital in Litchfield.

5:52 p.m. — A possible theft was reported on County Road 7, north of Highway 212. A deputy spoke to an individual and it was determined no theft was taking place.

8:20 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson First Responders and Allina Ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Highway 15, north of Hutchinson. There was no transport.

10:48 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Lester Prairie Police Department with suspicious activity at a business on Central Avenue in Lester Prairie.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 19

9:46 a.m. — A deputy responded to a report of a theft and property damage at a residence on Cable Avenue, northeast of Glencoe.

1 p.m. — A deputy picked up some clothing that was found on the Luce Line Trail, west of Winsted, and brought it to the sheriff’s office.

1:22 p.m. — A deputy responded to a report of suspicious garbage dumped in the area of 135th Street and Tagus Avenue, south of Hutchinson.

1:27 p.m. — A gas drive-off was reported from a business on South Street in Stewart.

4:40 p.m. — A deputy took a report of animal neglect at a residence on Meeker/McLeod Avenue, west of Hutchinson.

5:17 p.m. — A deputy took a report of fraud from a resident on Major Avenue, northeast of Hutchinson.

8:05 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department in trying to find a potentially suicidal person. It was later discovered that the person had checked into a hospital earlier in the day.

8:16 p.m. — A car-deer accident was reported in the area of 245th Street and Zebra Avenue, east of Winsted. There were no injuries.

11:14 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Silver Lake Police Department in investigating suspicious activity on East Avenue in Silver Lake.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 20

1:12 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Lester Prairie Police Department, Lester Prairie First Responders and Ridgeview Ambulance with a medical emergency outside a business on Juniper Street in Lester Prairie. The person was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

1:45 a.m. — A deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of 12th Street E and Ford Avenue in Glencoe, and arrested Rudy Martinez Jr., 22, of Brownsville, Texas, on a probable cause charge of driving while intoxicated. Martinez was taken to the McLeod County Jail.

2:23 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a traffic stop in the area of Greeley Avenue and 13th Street E.

2:46 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a noise complaint at a residence on Elliott Avenue in Glencoe.

8:24 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, assisted by the Lester Prairie Police Department, responded to a report of a dog bite that occurred on 212th Street, north of Lester Prairie. The deputy took the dog to the Lester Prairie Vet Clinic.

10:35 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with an accident in the area of South Grade Road and Highway 15 in Hutchinson.

1:52 p.m. — A deputy responded to a complaint regarding cats on Martha Street in Stewart.

3:52 p.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a report of a vehicle that had been broken into while parked at the Stahls Lake access, north of Hutchinson.

5:54 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Silver Lake Police Department with a possible weapons violation near a business on Highway 7 in Silver Lake. The item in question was not a weapon.

6:37 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with an intoxicated male near the intersection of Baxter Avenue and Sixth Street in Glencoe.

7:51 p.m. — A car-deer accident was reported on County Road 7, south of Hutchinson. There were no injuries.

8:29 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a domestic on 13th Street E in Glencoe. The situation was mediated.

9:28 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Winsted Fire Department and Lester Prairie Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burn on 230th Street, south of Winsted. The fire was extinguished.

9:48 p.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a report of a vehicle that had struck a power pole near the intersection of 30th Street and Oday Avenue, south of Brownton. The vehicle, a 2001 Chevrolet Impala, owned by Kelly Sehr of Brownton and driven by Tanner Michael Schugg, 19, of Gaylord, had over $1,000 in damage. There were no injuries.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 21

12:06 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Winsted Police Department with an intoxicated male on Third Street S in Winsted.

2:13 a.m. — A deputy picked up a male walking in the area of Airport Road and Rum Avenue, south of Hutchinson, and gave him a ride to his residence.

4:22 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a noise complaint at a residence on 16th Street W in Glencoe.

1:45 p.m. — A deputy came upon some loose cattle on 85th Street, northeast of Stewart, and contacted the owner.

5:55 p.m. — A deputy checked on a vehicle that was losing its load in the area of Main Street and County Road 7, east of Stewart. The driver had help on the way.

6:02 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department and Glencoe Ambulance with a medical on Prairie Avenue in Glencoe. The person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

8:57 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a domestic that had occurred within the city of Glencoe. A deputy spoke with the victim at their residence on Cameo Circle, east of Glencoe.
