TUESDAY, MAY 12

1:14 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with a suicidal female at a residence on Juul Road SW in Hutchinson. The Hutchinson Ambulance also responded, and transported the person to the Hutchinson hospital for evaluation.

2:45 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson First Responders and Hutchinson Ambulance responded to a medical at a residence on 170th Street, southeast of Hutchinson. The person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

3:05 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a possible domestic at a residence on Hennepin Avenue N in Glencoe. There was no physical altercation; just verbal. The situation was mediated.

3:20 a.m. — A deputy assisted the Glencoe Police Department and the Glencoe Ambulance with a medical at a residence on Prairie Avenue in Glencoe. The person was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

7:37 a.m. — A deputy and a Department of Natural Resources officer responded to a report of a dog that was killed by a bald eagle at a residence on 190th Street, south of Silver Lake.

9:20 a.m. — A deputy responded to a trespassing complaint on Vista Road, northwest of Hutchinson, and advised the property owner of their options.

11:49 a.m. — An illegal garbage dump was reported in the area of 80th Street and County Road 2, south of Glencoe. A deputy filled out a report for the solid waste department.

2:12 p.m. — Deputies, the Lester Prairie First Responders and Ridgeview Ambulance responded to a medical on Cable Avenue, west of Lester Prairie. A person was taken by ambulance to the Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia.

3:17 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson First Responders and Hutchinson Ambulance responded to a rolling medical in the area of 150th Street and Yacht Avenue, southwest of Hutchinson. A person as taken to the Hutchinson hospital by ambulance.

6:21 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Minnesota State Patrol, Stewart Fire Department and Buffalo Lake Ambulance responded to a one-vehicle crash on County Road 7, northeast of Stewart. The driver of the vehicle, John Larry Ortlip, 49, of Hutchinson, was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital. His vehicle, a 2003 Volkswagen Passat, had over $1,000 damage. The McLeod County Highway Department was requested to the scene to replace a stop sign.

11:45 p.m. — A juvenile was reported missing from a residence on 80th Street, southeast of Glencoe. The juvenile was found and taken back home.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 13

3:55 a.m. — Deputies, the Lester Prairie First Responders and Ridgeview Ambulance responded to a medical on 180th Street, southwest of Lester Prairie.

8:53 a.m. — Deputies, the Hutchinson First Responders and the Hutchinson Ambulance responded to a medical on Nature Avenue, east of Hutchinson. A person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

9:19 a.m. — The sheriff’s office received a complaint of manure in the roadway in the area of 220th Street and Lake Hook Road, north of Hutchinson. It had been cleaned up before a deputy arrived.

11:11 a.m. — The sheriff’s office received a report of a loose bull in the area of 215th Street and Highway 15, north of Hutchinson. The bull was found and dispatched.

7:52 p.m. — Deputies assisted the Hutchinson Police Department in mediating a domestic situation at a residence on Echo Drive SE in Hutchinson.

8:07 p.m. — Deputies assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with another domestic, this one at a residence on Highway 7 E in Hutchinson. The individuals were separated for the evening.

8:54 p.m. — Deputies responded to a report of a juvenile having difficulties at home at a residence on Highway 15, northwest of Brownton. The juvenile was taken to the Hutchinson hospital for evaluation.

THURSDAY, MAY 14

1:13 a.m. — Deputies responded to a requested welfare check at a residence on 57th Street, southwest of Brownton. Everything was fine.

10:44 a.m. — A deputy and the Glencoe Ambulance responded to a medical on Eagle Avenue, northeast of Glencoe. A person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

7:03 p.m. — Deputies assisted the Silver Lake Police Department with a report of suspicious activity at a residence on Grove Avenue SE in Silver Lake.

FRIDAY, MAY 15

1:03 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a report of a juvenile who didn’t come home to a residence on 240th Street, north of Silver Lake. The juvenile was found in St. Peter and transported home.

2:43 a.m. — A deputy assisted the Glencoe Police Department in mediating a domestic situation at a residence on Baxter Avenue N in Glencoe. The individuals were separated for the evening.

9:40 a.m. — A deputy responded to a possible violation of a court order at a residence on 85th Court, northwest of Brownton.

1:36 p.m. — Deputies responded to a requested welfare check on a child at a residence on Powers Street in Stewart. Deputies spoke with the parents and grandparents.

7:56 p.m. — Deputies responded to a dispute at a residence on 203rd Street, north of Hutchinson. The individuals were separated for the evening.

11:20 p.m. — A juvenile party was reported at a residence on Brush Lake Road, southwest of Lester Prairie. Also responding were the Minnesota State Patrol, Lester Prairie Police Department and the Winsted Police Department. As a result, deputies issued three juvenile minor consumption citations, six minor consumption citations and one driving while intoxicated citation to a juvenile who was taken to the McLeod County Jail. The parents of all the juveniles were notified.

SATURDAY, MAY 16

12:09 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Silver Lake Police Department in mediating a disturbance at a residence on Grove Street in Silver Lake.

12:28 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported on Brush Lake Road, south of Lester Prairie. A deputy spoke with several individuals at the residence and asked them all to leave.

3:12 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department and the Hutchinson Ambulance with a medical on Hassan Street SE in Hutchinson. A person was taken to the Hutchinson hospital by ambulance.

5:26 p.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a requested welfare check on a person on 190th Street, northwest of Lester Prairie. Everything was fine.

8 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with an accident on Highway 7 W in Hutchinson. Also responding were the Hutchinson Fire Department and the Hutchinson Ambulance. Injured individuals were taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

8:53 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Fire Department and the Glencoe Police Department with a fire alarm at a business on 13th Street w in Glencoe. There was no fire.

9:33 p.m. — A gate was reported damaged at Buffalo Creek Park, east of Glencoe.

10:52 p.m. — A deputy responded to a report of a power pole transformer that was arcing in the area of Highway 15 and 100th Street, northwest of Brownton. The power company was notified.

SUNDAY, MAY 17

1:41 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported at a residence on Jet Avenue, northwest of Glencoe. As a result, Tanya Mae Jacobs, 30, of Bismarck, N.D., was arrested on a probable cause charge of driving while intoxicated and open bottle. She was taken to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe. Three passengers were cited for open bottle.

9:18 a.m. — A deputy assisted McLeod Co-op Power with a sagging power line in Nature Avenue, northeast of Hutchinson.

10:30 a.m. — Large tree branches were reported in the roadway on Vista Road, northwest of Hutchinson. The debris was removed.

10:58 a.m. — The Hutchinson First Responders, Hutchinson Ambulance and the sheriff’s office responded to a medical on York Road, southwest of Hutchinson. A person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

12:14 p.m. — The Brownton First Responders, Hutchinson Ambulance and sheriff’s office responded to a medical on Plum Avenue, north of Brownton. A person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

2:49 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Glencoe Ambulance responded to a medical on Ideal Avenue, southwest of Glencoe. A person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

9:13 p.m. — A deputy responded to a report of a power pole that was snapped off at the bottom in the area of 215th Street and Babcock Avenue, south of Winsted. The power company was notified.

MONDAY, MAY 18

7:07 a.m. — A deputy responded to a report of a school bus stop-arm violation on Dairy Avenue, northeast of Glencoe.

11:42 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department and Glencoe Ambulance with a medical on Newton Avenue N in Glencoe. A person was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Noon — A deputy assisted the Lester Prairie Police Department with a welfare check on a person on Bluestem Lane in Lester Prairie. Everything was fine.

1:18 p.m. — Deputies assisted the Hutchinson Police Department in trying to find a suicidal male who was running through town. The male was located and taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

2:49 p.m. — Deputies assisted the Brownton Police Department with a domestic at a residence on Second Street N in Brownton. The situation was mediated, but one person was served a trespass notice.

4:55 p.m. — A deputy responded to a school bus stop-arm violation that occurred earlier in the day on Falcon Avenue, north of Glencoe.

9:32 p.m. — A motorcycle-raccoon accident was reported in the area of County Road 7 and 225th Street, northeast of Hutchinson. The driver of the motorcycle, Jeremy David McCutchen, 43, of Hutchinson, was taken by the Hutchinson Ambulance for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries. His motorcycle, a 2007 Honda ST 1100, had over $1,000 in damage. Assisting at the scene were the Minnesota State Patrol and the Hutchinson Fire Department.
