TUESDAY, OCT. 21

8:23 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a report of someone dumping dead animals in the area of Hilton Avenue and 125th Street, northwest of Glencoe. The matter was referred to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

9:46 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department and the Glencoe Ambulance with a medical emergency on Louden Avenue N in Glencoe. The person had passed away. The death investigator and local funeral home were notified.

9:47 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a requested welfare check of a person on Reeds Lane in Glencoe. The individual was fine.

11:11 a.m. — A deputy took a report of harassment from a person on 175th Street, south of Lester Prairie.

11:55 a.m. — A report of harassment was taken from a person on 80th Street, southeast of Glencoe.

3:25 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with a hit-and-run accident at a business on Baltimore Avenue SW in Hutchinson. There were no injuries.

5:06 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department and Hutchinson Ambulance with a medical emergency at a business on Highway 15 S in Hutchinson. There was no transport.

7:40 p.m. — A deputy took a report of damage to property in the area of Common Street and Dairy Avenue, west of Winsted.

10:44 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with a fight at a business on Highway 15 S in Hutchinson. One person was taken to the Hutchinson Police Department, then to the hospital and then to a detox facility.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 22

9:58 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to an assault that occurred at a residence on Bowman Street in Stewart. Also responding were the Stewart First Responders and the Buffalo Lake Ambulance, but there was no transport. The suspect was found later in Hutchinson.

10:04 a.m. — The sheriff’s office and Winsted Police Department served two arrest warrants and a search warrant at residence on the 300 block of Lake Drive in the city of Winsted. The bomb squad assisted.

3:03 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson First Responders and Hutchinson Ambulance responded to a medical emergency on 220th Street, northeast of Hutchinson. The person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

5:42 p.m. — A burglary was reported at storage unit on Lake Avenue, north of Silver Lake.

6:39 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Stewart First Responders and the Buffalo Lake Ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Herbert Street in Stewart. The patient was taken to the Hutchinson hospital by ambulance.

8:04 p.m. — The sheriff’s office mediated a civil dispute at a residence on Main Street in Stewart.

THURSDAY, OCT. 23

8:03 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with an accident in the area of Highway 7 and Bluff Street NE in Hutchinson. There were no injuries. One person was arrested by a Hutchinson officer for probable cause driving while intoxicated. Also responding were the Hutchinson Fire Department and Hutchinson Ambulance.

9:12 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to an animal complaint at a residence on County Road 2, northeast of Silver Lake. The animals were healthy and had enough food.

1:52 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Winsted Police Department with a motorist whose trailer had come unhitched on County Road 9, south of Winsted.

5:17 p.m. — A driving complaint was received about a vehicle traveling on County Road 2, north of Glencoe. A deputy stopped the vehicle in Glencoe and issued a citation.

6:25 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Silver Lake Police Department with mediating a fight at an apartment building on Grove Avenue NE in Silver Lake.

6:52 p.m. — The sheriff’s office took a report of a possibly missing person from a residence on County Road 7, east of Hutchinson.

7:13 p.m. — A deputy retrieved an item that was reported in a ditch in the area of 150th Street and Vale Avenue, southwest of Hutchinson.

8:46 p.m. — A resident on Highway 22, west of Glencoe, reported receiving threats by phone.

FRIDAY, OCT. 24

12:50 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a car-deer accident in the area of County Road 7 and Vale Avenue, southwest of Hutchinson. There were no injuries.

4:22 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Brownton Police Department, Brownton First Responders and Hutchinson Ambulance with a medical emergency on Seventh Avenue S in Brownton. The person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

9:04 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol with a two-vehicle accident on Highway 212 near Dairy Avenue. There were no injuries.

11:57 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a reported fire in the area of 212th Street, north of Lester Prairie. Everything was fine.

4:11 p.m. — A deputy met with a person in the Law Enforcement Center lobby regarding a possible burglary. The deputy advised the person that it was civil matter.

7:24 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a domestic on Desoto Avenue N in Glencoe. The individuals were separated for the evening.

8:35 p.m. — A deputy removed a deer carcass from the roadway in the area of Airport Road and 170th Street, southeast of Hutchinson.

10:30 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with an accident in the area of Freemont Avenue and Highway 15 in Hutchinson. There were no injuries. The Hutchinson Fire Department also responded.

11:24 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department and Hutchinson Ambulance with a medical emergency at a business on Highway 15 S in Hutchinson. The person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

SATURDAY, OCT. 25

1:49 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a report of a suspicious person in the area of 15th Street E and Ives Avenue N in Glencoe.

4:27 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a suspicious person on Fifth Street E in Glencoe. The person was intoxicated and taken to the Brown County Detox Facility in New Ulm.

8:42 a.m. — A deputy took a report of a theft from a storage unit near 235th Street, south of Winsted.

10:43 a.m. — A car-deer accident was reported in the area of 100th Street and Dairy Avenue, southeast of Glencoe. There were no injuries. A deputy dispatched the deer.

11:08 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a dispute over land in the area of Yacht Avenue and 240th Street, northwest of Hutchinson. The individuals were advised that it was a civil issue.

12:01 p.m. — The Lester Prairie First Responders, Ridgeview Ambulance and the sheriff’s office responded to a medical emergency on Cable Avenue, northwest of Lester Prairie. The person was taken by ambulance to the Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia.

1:03 p.m. — The Stewart Fire Department, Buffalo Lake Fire Department and the sheriff’s office responded to a corn dryer fire in the area of 100th Street and Zane Avenue, north of Stewart. The fire was extinguished by the fire departments.

2:43 p.m. — The Lester Prairie First Responders, Ridgeview Ambulance and the sheriff’s office responded to a medical emergency on Castle Circle, north of Lester Prairie. The person was taken by ambulance to the Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia.

7:43 p.m. — The Winsted First Responders, Ridgeview Ambulance, Winsted Police Department and the sheriff’s office responded to a medical emergency on Linden Avenue W in Winsted. The person was taken by ambulance to the Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia.

SUNDAY, OCT. 26

6:41 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, assisted by the Glencoe Police Department, responded to a burglary at a business on Main Street E in Plato. One person was arrested.

8:40 a.m. — The Brownton First Responders, Hutchinson Ambulance and the sheriff’s office responded to a medical emergency on 85th Circle, northwest of Brownton. The person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

11:54 a.m. — The Silver Lake Fire Department and the sheriff’s office responded to a corn dryer fire on Garden Avenue, southeast of Silver Lake. The fire department put out the fire.

9:17 p.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a report of an injured deer on the road in the area of Belle Lake Road and 245th Street, north of Hutchinson. A deputy dispatched the deer.

MONDAY, OCT. 27

3:57 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson First Responders and Hutchinson Ambulance all responded to a medical emergency on Highway 15, north of Hutchinson. The person was taken to the Hutchinson hospital by ambulance.

4:36 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Winsted Police Department with a road rage incident on Main Avenue W and Sixth Street N in Winsted.

8:15 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted with a child in Silver Lake who did not want to go to school. A deputy spoke with both the child and school staff, and the child went to school.

8:44 a.m. — A deputy advised a dog owner on Herbert Street of the leash law after the sheriff’s office received a complaint about the dog.

10:52 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a hit-and-run accident in the area of First Street NE and Fourth Avenue NE in Plato. The vehicle that was hit was a parked car with no passengers.

12:18 p.m. — A deputy took a trespassing complaint on Cameo Circle, east of Glencoe.

4:06 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Glencoe Police Department assisted Trailblazer Transit with an unruly passenger in Glencoe. The problem was resolved.

10:08 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Lester Prairie Police Department with a fight on Blake Avenue in Lester Prairie. Some of the individuals had left before officers arrived.

10:30 p.m. — The Lester Prairie First Responders, Ridgeview Ambulance and the sheriff’s office responded to a “rolling medical” at the intersection of Babcock Avenue and Highway 7, north of Lester Prairie. A person was taken by ambulance to Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia.
