TUESDAY, MAY 17

2:50 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson First Responders and Allina Ambulance responded to a medical on Wells Avenue, southwest of Hutchinson. The person had died, and the death investigator and local funeral home were notified.

1:08 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with a suspicious person near a business on Highway 7, east of Hutchinson. The person left the business.

9:05 p.m. — A deputy checked on a motorist in the area of 160th Street and Falcon Avenue, north of Glencoe. A citation was issued.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 18

12 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Brownton First Responders and Allina Ambulance responded to a medical on Highway 15, north of Brownton. A person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

12:48 a.m. — The sheriff’s office and Winsted Police Department responded to a driving complaint on 245th Street, west of Winsted. The vehicle was found and the driver was issued a citation for driving after cancellation.

1 p.m. — A deputy responded to a barking dog complaint on Bowman Street in Stewart.

2:44 p.m. — A deputy responded to a report of threats on 200th Street, west of Silver Lake.

8:50 p.m. — A deputy took a theft report on 170th Street, southwest of Silver Lake.

11:23 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Carver County Sheriff’s Office in searching for a missing juvenile, who was later found in Hutchinson.

THURSDAY, MAY 19

1:09 a.m. — A disturbance call was received from a residence on Grove Street in Stewart. Deputies checked the area and everything was fine.

5:55 p.m.— A deputy assisted a motorist with a flat tire in the area of Highway 7 and Lace Avenue, west of Silver Lake.

7:26 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Minnesota State Patrol responded to a dispute on Yacht Avenue, southwest of Hutchinson.

8:52 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with a theft at a business on Main Street N in Hutchinson.

10:56 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol with a car-deer accident in the area of Bell Avenue and Highway 212, west of Plato.

11:43 p.m. — A deputy responded to a report of property damage on Bowman Street in Stewart.

FRIDAY, MAY 20

7:54 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Minnesota State patrol with a deer in the lane of traffic on Highway 7, north of Lester Prairie. A deputy removed the deer.

9:34 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a report of white powder on the roadway in the area of 110th Street and Page Avenue, north of Brownton. The powder was farm fertilizer.

10:33 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol with a welfare check of a motorist on the side of the road in the area of Highway 15 and 150th Street, south of Hutchinson. The vehicle had a flat tire and the driver had help on the way.

2:41 p.m. — A deputy responded to a complaint regarding a suspicious vehicle in the area of Cameo Circle and 108th Circle east of Glencoe. Everything was fine.

4:13 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Silver Lake Police Department with an upset individual at a residence on Center Street NW in Silver Lake. The situation was mediated.

5:04 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Allina Ambulance responded to a one-vehicle rollover near a residence on 125th Street, northwest of Glencoe. There were no injuries. The vehicle, a 2005 Saturn Vue driven by a 16-year-old male from Tonka Bay, had over $1,000 in damage.

10:27 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Minnesota State Patrol and Meeker County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance at a residence on Highway 15, north of Hutchinson. Deputies spoke with the complainant and advised him of his options.

11:52 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with a domestic situation at a residence on California Street NW in Hutchinson.

SATURDAY, MAY 21

1:57 a.m. — A deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of County Road 7 and 40th Street, south of Stewart, and arrested John David Stanfield Jr., 26, of Gaylord, on a probable cause charge of driving while intoxicated and took him to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe.

9:36 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Minnesota State Patrol and a Meeker County deputy responded to a disturbance at a residence on Highway 15, north of Hutchinson. A person was taken into custody by the Meeker County deputy on an outstanding warrant.

5:14 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol with a motorcycle vs. car accident on Highway 7 near Babcock Avenue, north of Lester Prairie. The Lester Prairie police and fire departments and Ridgeview Ambulance also responded.

7:30 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and state patrol assisted the Glencoe police with a hit-and-run accident on 13th Street E in Glencoe. The person was fine.

8:34 p.m. — A deputy assisted the Brownton police with a welfare check at a residence on Third Avenue N in Brownton. The individual was fine.

10:20 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe police with a welfare check at a residence on Ford Avenue N in Glencoe. The person was fine.

11:17 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson police with an unwanted male at a residence on Echo Circle SE in Hutchinson. The person left before officers arrived.

11:20 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department in mediating a disturbance on California Street SW in Hutchinson.

11:20 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe police with a welfare check at a residence on Sumac Lane in Glencoe. The person was fine.

11:30 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Hutchinson Police Department assisted the Renville County Sheriff’s Office with an uncooperative male who was being taken to the hospital.

11:45 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe police with a welfare check of a possibly suicidal male at a residence on Baxter Avenue N in Glencoe. The male was taken to the Glencoe hospital.

SUNDAY, MAY 22

12:25 a.m. — A deputy responded to a trespassing complaint at a residence on 110th Street, east of Glencoe.

12:52 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe police with a male who had passed out near the intersection of 15th Street E and Judd Avenue N in Glencoe. Two males were sent home with a family member.

2:20 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department and Allina Ambulance with a medical at a residence on Jorgenson Street SE in Hutchinson. A male was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

6:56 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson police with an unwanted male at a residence on Washington Avenue W in Hutchinson. The person left.

10:33 a.m. — The sheriff’s office and Hutchinson Fire Department responded to a grass fire on Vale Avenue, southwest of Hutchinson. The property owner put the fire out before a deputy arrived.

11:08 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson police and Allina Ambulance with a medical at a business on Main Street N in Hutchinson. There was no transport.

6:15 p.m. — A deputy took a burglary report at a residence on County Road 9, north of Lester Prairie.

7:14 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Brownton Police Department with a neighbor dispute at a residence on Sixth Avenue S in Brownton. A suspect was found and taken into custody by a Brownton officer on a probable cause charge of threats of violence.

MONDAY, MAY 23

12:37 p.m. — A deputy responded to a property line dispute near a residence on 210th Street, north of Hutchinson. The deputy asked a person to move some machinery.

3:20 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Lester Prairie Police Department responded to a report of a grass fire in the ara of Highway 7 and Babcock Avenue, north of Lester Prairie. The fire was a controlled burn and was being watched.

4:02 p.m. — Two power poles fell in the area of Highway 7 and Fox Avenue, east of Silver Lake, and started a tree on fire. The Silver Lake Fire Department extinguished the fire, and the power company was notified by the sheriff’s office.

4:16 p.m. — A deputy responded to a barking dog complaint at a residence on Powers Street in Stewart, and spoke to the dog’s owner.

5:10 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Lester Prairie Police Department with a domestic at a residence on Maple Street N in Lester Prairie. The Lester Prairie officer arrested a male and took him to the McLeod County Jail on a probable cause charge of assault.

7:34 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Silver Lake Police Department with a fight at a residence on Grove Avenue SE in Silver Lake. Deputies arrested two people. Tommie Lee Williams Jr., 24, of Silver Lake, was arrested on a probable cause charge of terroristic threats, and Cardereo Duante Jones, 28, also of Silver Lake, was arrested on a probable cause charge of assault. Both were taken to the McLeod County Jail.

10:35 p.m. — A report was received of someone knocking over garbage cans in the Stewart City Park. A deputy checked the area but was unable to find anyone.
