TUESDAY, JULY 21

1:26 a.m. — A deputy came across a person wearing dark clothing walking along County Road 7, northeast of Hutchinson. The individual was a minor, and the parents were called.

1:59 a.m. — Deputies responded to a dispute at a residence on Dairy Avenue, east of Glencoe. The individuals were separated for the evening.

7:18 a.m. — A vehicle was reported in a ditch in the area of Highway 7 and Babcock Avenue, north of Lester Prairie. Also responding were the Lester Prairie First Responders and the Ridgeview Ambulance; however, the vehicle was gone before anyone arrived on scene.

8:29 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol with removing a dead deer in the roadway in the area of Highway 212 and Robin Avenue, southwest of Brownton.

5:14 p.m. — The sheriff’s office mediated a domestic dispute at a residence on 245th Street, west of Winsted.

6:11 p.m. — A deputy responded to a requested welfare check on a person on Falcon Avenue, north of Glencoe. The person was fine.

8:30 p.m. — The sheriff’s office mediated a family dispute on 245th Street, west of Winsted.

8:36 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with a domestic situation in the area of Dale Street SW and School Road in Hutchinson. The individuals were separated.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 22

12:37 a.m. — A deputy responded to a requested welfare check on an individual on Falcon Avenue, north of Glencoe. Everything was fine.

12:49 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Winsted Police Department with reported suspicious activity at a business on Second Street N in Winsted. Everything was fine.

3:04 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a report of a person wandering in a backyard of a residence on DeSoto Avenue in Glencoe. The person was taken to the Glencoe hospital.

8:02 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Silver Lake Police Department with a possibly suicidal person at a residence on Frank Street in Silver Lake. The situation was mediated.

8:42 a.m. — The sheriff’s office received a complaint about hay on the roadway in the area of Imperial Avenue and 95th Street, west of Glencoe. A deputy spoke to the people responsible and arranged to have it cleared away.

12:22 p.m. — A deputy responded to a property damage accident that occurred on private property on 30th Street, south of Brownton.

3:18 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Minnesota State Patrol, Brownton First Responders and the Glencoe Ambulance responded to a rolling medical on Highway 212 near Orange Avenue, east of Brownton. An individual was taken to the Glencoe hospital by ambulance.

4:59 p.m. — Phillip Leigh Becker, 53, of Chanhassen, was arrested on a probable cause charge of driving while intoxicated and taken to the McLeod County Jail after a traffic stop in the area of County Road 9 and 128th Street, north of Plato.

11:25 p.m. — A deputy responded to a report of a juvenile female walking with a bike along Highway 7, west of Hutchinson. The girl’s father picked her up.

THURSDAY, JULY 23

4:58 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson Police Department, Hutchinson First Responders and Hutchinson Ambulance all responded to a medical on Highway 15, north of Hutchinson. The person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

5:44 a.m. — A loose horse was reported in the area of Highway 22 and 155th Street, southeast of Hutchinson. A deputy checked the area but was unable to find it.

10:33 a.m. — The sheriff’s office was called for a public assist at a residence on 128th Court, northwest of Plato. A person was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Maple Grove.

12:51 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Winsted First Responders and Ridgeview Ambulance responded to a medical on 220th Street, southwest of Winsted. The person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

2:55 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Lester Prairie First Responders and Ridgeview Ambulance responded to a report of a suicidal male on 180th Street, west of Lester Prairie. He was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

3:01 p.m. — Loose horses were reported to be running on County Road 2, north of Glencoe. They were corralled.

6:28 p.m. — A motorcycle accident was reported in the area of Page Avenue and Pheasant Road, southeast of Hutchinson. The driver, Eric John Svoboda, 33, of Brownton, was arrested on a probable cause charge of driving while intoxicated. He was taken first to the Hutchinson hospital and then to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe. Responding to the accident was the sheriff’s office, Minnesota State Patrol, Hutchinson First Responders and the Silver Lake Ambulance.

FRIDAY, JULY 24

1:51 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Winsted Police Department with a burglary at a residence on Seventh Street S in Winsted. A person was arrested by a Winsted officer.

2:24 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson First Responders and the Hutchinson Ambulance responded to a medical on Highway 15, north of Hutchinson. A person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

9:30 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Silver Lake First Responders and Silver Lake Ambulance responded to a medical on 180th Street, southeast of Silver Lake. The person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

5:30 p.m. — A gas drive-off was reported at a business on South Street in Stewart.

6:08 p.m. — Deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in the area of Dairy Avenue and 80th Street, southeast of Glencoe.

SATURDAY, JULY 25

12:11 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Silver Lake First Responders and Silver Lake Ambulance responded to a medical on Ideal Avenue, south of Silver Lake. A family member took the person to the hospital.

1:22 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with suspicious activity that was reported near a business on Glen Street SW in Hutchinson. An intoxicated person was taken home by a deputy.

1:49 a.m. — A deputy checked on a suspicious person in the area of Main Street S and Third Avenue N in Hutchinson. The person was intoxicated and was taken home by friends.

2:21 a.m. — A deputy, the Stewart First Responders and the Buffalo Lake Ambulance responded to a medical on Herbert Street in Stewart. The person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

4:26 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department and Glencoe Ambulance with a medical at a residence on Ninth Street E in Glencoe. The person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

6:51 a.m. — A deputy took a report of a hit-and-run accident in the area of 230th Street and Major Avenue, northeast of Hutchinson.

12:14 p.m. — A deputy responded to a report of an assault that occurred at a business on South Street in Stewart.

5:49 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Plato First Responders and the Glencoe Ambulance responded to a medical on Second Avenue NW in Plato. Upon arrival, it was determined the person had died, and the death investigator and a funeral home were called to the residence.

8:29 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Silver Lake Police Department with a disturbance at a residence on Grove Street SE in Silver Lake.

9:03 p.m. — A deputy responded to a reported dog bite at the Lake Marion Park, northwest of Brownton.

9:27 p.m. — The sheriff’s office received a report of a person walking on Highway 22 in Biscay who matched the description of a missing person. The individual was taken to Hutchinson.

SUNDAY, JULY 26

10:57 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol with a report of loose cattle in the area of Highway 22 and Jade Avenue, northwest of Glencoe. Everything was fine.

11:53 a.m. — A trespassing complaint was received from an address on Cable Avenue, west of Winsted. A deputy spoke to the individuals involved.

12:13 p.m. — A deputy responded to a neighbor complaint on Tagus Avenue, north of Hutchinson.

1:53 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with trying to find a vehicle that hit some salt bags at a business on Ninth Street E in Glencoe.

5:03 p.m. — A complaint was received of boaters being too close to the swimming area at Piepenburg Park, north of Hutchinson. The boaters were gone when the deputy arrived.

10:56 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, New Auburn First Responders and the Hutchinson Ambulance responded to a medical on 20th Street, southeast of Brownton. A person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

MONDAY, JULY 27

5:45 a.m. — A deputy responded to a car-deer accident on Tagus Avenue, north of Hutchinson. There were no injuries.

5:17 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Lester Prairie Police Department with a verbal domestic on Juniper Street in Lester Prairie. Everything was fine.

5:20 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Silver Lake First Responders and Silver Lake Ambulance responded to a medical at a residence on 225th Street, north of Silver Lake. A person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

7:52 p.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a domestic at a residence on Tagus Avenue, north of Hutchinson. One person was taken to the Brown County Detox Facility in New Ulm.

11:34 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Winsted Police Department with a domestic at a residence on Sixth Street N in Winsted. A person was arrested by the Winsted officer.
