On Monday, July 7, at 7:27 a.m., the sheriff’s office responded to a report of a loose cow in the area of Eagle Avenue and 230th Street, northeast of Silver Lake. The owners were notified, and the animal was corralled.

At 12:20 p.m., Monday, a report was received of a buffalo loose near a residence on Babcock Avenue, south of Winsted. The animal was rounded up and put back in the pen.

The theft of chemicals was reported at 1:50 p.m., Monday, in the area of Nature Avenue and 50th Street, southeast of Brownton. The deputy cleared with a report.

The sheriff’s office responded to a report of crops being damaged in a field near Sumter at 3:13 p.m., Monday.

The sheriff’s office responded to a report of a driving complaint in the area of Page Avenue and 100th Street, north of Brownton, at 8:55 p.m., Monday. Assisting was the Hutchinson Police. The motorcycles were located, and the deputy issued citations.

On Tuesday, July 8, at 1:21 a.m., the sheriff’s office responded to a medical emergency at an address on Herbert Street in Stewart. Also responding were the Buffalo Lake Ambulance and the Stewart First Responders. The individual was transported to the Hutchinson hospital by ambulance.

At 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, a report of property damage was received from an address on 122nd Street, north of Plato. The deputy cleared with a report.

On Wednesday, July 9, at 12:15 a.m., the sheriff’s office responded to a report of horses on the roadway near an address on 150th Street, southwest of Hutchinson. The deputy made contact with the owner, and they were able to corral the horses.

At 3:50 p.m., Wednesday, the sheriff’s office responded to a report of a fire in the area of Highway 212 and Highway 15, west of Brownton. Also responding was the Brownton Fire Department. The deputy cleared with a citation for burning prohibited materials and expired permit.

The sheriff’s office responded to a request for a welfare check at an address on Imperial Avenue, northwest of Glencoe, at 8:57 p.m., Wednesday. The individual was transported to the Hutchinson hospital by a deputy. The deputy cleared with a report.

At 9:32 p.m., Wednesday, the sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police with a theft from a business on Denver Avenue SE in Hutchinson. The individual returned to pay for item.

On Thursday, July 10, at 12:35 a.m., the sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police with a drug-related traffic incident in the area of Lakewood Drive SW and Eighth Avenue SW in Hutchinson. The deputy cleared with a report.

At 1:10 p.m., Thursday, the sheriff’s office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol with a bicycle accident on Highway 15 and 135th Street, south of Hutchinson. Also responding were the Allina Ambulance and the Hutchinson Fire Department.

The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police with a report of a missing child from a residence on Chestnut Street West in Glencoe at 3:50 p.m., Thursday. The child was found and returned to the parents.

A medical emergency was reported at 5:16 p.m., Thursday, in the area of Highway 7 and Babcock Avenue, north of Lester Prairie. Also responding were the Lester Prairie Police, the Lester Prairie First Responders and the Ridgeview Ambulance. There was no transport.

On Friday, July 11, at 2 a.m., the sheriff’s office responded to a medical at a residence on 150th Street, southwest of Hutchinson. Also responding were the Allina Ambulance and the Hutchinson First Responders. The individual was transported to the Hutchinson hospital by ambulance.

At 2:06 a.m., Friday, a deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of Highway 7 and Lace Avenue, east of Hutchinson. As a result, Matthew David Reed, 27, of Hutchinson was arrested for probable cause charge of driving while intoxicated and transported to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe. The deputy cleared with reports.

The sheriff’s office investigated a report of shoplifting complaint at a business on South Street in Stewart, at 3 p.m., Friday. The individual was found and charged with probable cause charge of theft. The deputies cleared with reports.

On Saturday, July 12, at 1:51 a.m., a deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of Highway 15 and Airport Road, south of Hutchinson. As a result, Andrew Ellsworth Knick, 19, of Hutchinson, was arrested for probable cause charge of driving while intoxicated and transported to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe. The deputy cleared with a report.

At 6:08 a.m., Saturday, a deputy assisted Glencoe Police with an assault report that occurred at an apartment complex on 11th Street in Glencoe. The Glencoe Police arrested two individuals and transported them to the McLeod County Jail.

The sheriff’s office assisted Glencoe Police with a medical emergency at a Chandler Avenue business at 10:04 a.m., Saturday. Also responding was the Glencoe Ambulance, The individual was transported by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

Also on Saturday, at 11:41 a.m., the sheriff’s office assisted Glencoe Police with a domestic situation at a business on Greeley Avenue in Glencoe.

The sheriff’s office assisted Hutchinson Police with a medical emergency on Jefferson Street SE in Hutchinson at 12:35 p.m., Saturday. Also responding was the Allina Ambulance. The individual was transported by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

A burglary was reported at 7:49 p.m., Saturday, at an address on Sioux Hills Road, west of Hutchinson. The deputy cleared with a report.

On Sunday, July 13, at 1:29 a.m., the sheriff’s office assisted the Brownton Police with a domestic situation at an address on Fifth Avenue North in Brownton. The Brownton Police officer arrested a female individual and transported her to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe. The deputy cleared with a report.

At 3:04 a.m., Sunday, a deputy checked on a couple of horses loose on 30th Street, south of Brownton. The owner was located.

At 10:12 p.m., Sunday, a single-vehicle accident was reported on County Road 7, northeast of Hutchinson. Also responding were the Minnesota State Patrol, the Allina Ambulance and the Hutchinson Fire Department. The 1998 Ford Ranger, driven by a 17-year-old from Hutchinson, received over $1,000 in damages. The driver was transported to the Hutchinson hospital by ambulance. The deputy cleared with a Minnesota state accident report.

At 11:22 p.m., Sunday, a deputy assisted the Silver Lake Police with a domestic situation at a residence on Century Lane in Silver Lake.

On Monday, July 14, at 12:20 a.m., the sheriff’s office responded to a medical emergency on Herbert Street in Stewart. Also responding was the Stewart First Responders and the Buffalo Lake Ambulance. The individual was transported by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

At 3:57 p.m., Monday, a report of a possible forgery at a business on South Street in Stewart, was received. The deputy cleared with a report.

The sheriff’s office responded to a driving complaint in the area of Highway 15 and 120th Street, south of Hutchinson, at 9:33 p.m., Monday. The deputy stopped the vehicle and issued a verbal warning.

At 10:41 p.m., Monday, a deputy, checked on a suspicious vehicle in a park on Swan Lake Road, northwest of Silver Lake. The deputy issued a verbal warning for a juvenile out past curfew.
