TUESDAY, AUG. 16

2:56 a.m. — Sheriff’s deputies, the Glencoe police and Sibley County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up call in the area of Highway 22 and 77th Street, southwest of Glencoe. Officers checked the area and found Kara Lynn Salmela, 21, of Glencoe, who was arrested on a probable cause drug charge and taken to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe.

4:22 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe police with a report of a wrong-way driver in the area of Highway 212 and Morningside Drive in Glencoe. The Glencoe officer issued a citation to the driver.

11:30 a.m. — Garbage bags were reported in the roadway of Dairy Avenue and 100th Street, east of Glencoe. A deputy removed them.

3:33 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe police with a possible burglary on 15th Street W in Glencoe. A deputy spoke to the person, and everything was fine.

6:59 p.m. — A deputy responded to a report of a tow company that had accidentally towed the wrong vehicle from a residence on First Avenue NE in Plato. The deputy spoke to all involved.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 17

5:47 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Plato First Responders and Allina Ambulance responded to a medical at a residence on Second Street NE in Plato. A person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

3:20 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Allina Ambulance responded to a medical at a residence on 115th Street, northwest of Glencoe. One person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

10:17 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with a possible burglary at a residence on First Avenue NW in Hutchinson. A Hutchinson officer arrested a person for probable cause charges of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

THURSDAY, AUG. 18

12:04 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, assisted by the Glencoe Police Department, responded to a report of an underage party on 80th Street, south of Glencoe. Deputies issued three citations for underage drinking.

5:35 a.m. — The sheriff’s office and the Silver Lake Fire Department responded to a report of a power line sparking in the area of Highway 7 and County Road 2, east of Silver Lake. Xcel Energy was contacted.

9:31 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Brownton First Responders and Allina Ambulance responded to a medical on Highway 15, northwest of Brownton. A person was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital.

2:32 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson Police Department, Silver Lake Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol responded to a driving complaint near a business on Main Street E in Silver Lake. The vehicle was stopped and Michelle Lee Rosenow, 35, of Hutchinson, was arrested on a probable cause charge of driving while intoxicated and taken to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe.

8:18 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Brownton Police Department with an unwanted person on Third Avenue S in Brownton. The individuals were separated for the evening.

FRIDAY, AUG. 19

2:36 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department and Allina Ambulance with a medical at a residence on Greeley Avenue in Glencoe. The person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

11:46 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department and Allina Ambulance with a medical at a business on Highway 7 E in Hutchinson.

1:09 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Renville County Sheriff’s Office in finding a runaway juvenile at a residence on Dairy Avenue, west of Lester Prairie. A deputy took the juvenile to meet with a Renville County deputy to return home.

5:13 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Minnesota State Patrol assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a domestic situation at a residence on 10th Street E in Glencoe. One person was arrested by a Glencoe officer and taken to the McLeod County Jail.

6:48 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Silver Lake police and fire departments and the Minnesota State Patrol all responded to a power pole on fire in the area of Highway 7 and County Road 2, east of Silver Lake. Xcel Energy was contacted.

9:48 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Winsted Police Department assisted the Wright County Sheriff’s Office in finding a vehicle associated with a property dispute in the area of Zebra Avenue and 245th Street, east of Winsted. The deputy mediated the situation.

11:46 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Buffalo Lake Ambulance and North Memorial Air Ambulance with a one-vehicle rollover near a residence on 850th Avenue, west of Stewart. Deputies assisted with medical care and collecting information.

SATURDAY, AUG. 20

1:56 a.m. — A deputy, assisted by a Glencoe officer, stopped a vehicle near a business on 13th Street W in Glencoe. Russell Kuenzel, 28, of Hamburg, was arrested on a probable cause charge of driving while intoxicated and was taken to the McLeod County Jail.

8:06 a.m. — A deputy responded to a report of a damaged mailbox at a residence on 130th Street, south of Hutchinson.

10:32 a.m. — A deputy responded to a garbage dump near a residence on Cable Avenue, northwest of Lester Prairie, and filled out a garbage dump form.

10:39 a.m. — An animal complaint was received from the area of 150th Street and Eagle Avenue, northeast of Glencoe. A deputy spoke to the animals’ owner and advised her of the complaint.

11:16 a.m. — A deputy responded to a reported burglary at a residence on 212th Street, south of Winsted.

4:08 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Winsted police and fire departments with a report of power lines smoking near a residence on Lake Avenue E in Winsted. Xcel Energy was notified.

4:44 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson Police Department and Allina Ambulance responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Jefferson Road S and Airport Road, south of Hutchinson. Involved were a 2011 Kia Sorento, driven by a 16-year-old from Hutchinson, and a 2015 Ford Fusion, driven by Cindy Baier, 46, of Hutchinson. Each vehicle had over $1,000 in damage, and one person was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The juvenile driver was issued a citation for inattentive driving.

6:08 p.m. — A deputy responded to an animal complaint at a residence on County Road 2, southeast of Silver Lake. The animals were returned to their home.

8:04 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe police with a suspicious person in the area of Hennepin Avenue N and 11th Street E in Glencoe. The person was taken home.

8:24 p.m. — Deputies responded to a trespassing complaint at a residence on Falcon Avenue, east of Silver Lake. The situation was mediated.

SUNDAY, AUG. 21

1:07 a.m. — A deputy checked on a motorist in the area of Highway 15 and Butler Field Drive, south of Hutchinson, and gave the driver a ride to get fuel for the vehicle.

1:27 a.m. — A deputy provided backup up to the Hutchinson Police Department at a fight at a residence on Grove Street SW in Hutchinson.

1:46 a.m. — A deputy responded to a report of suspicious people walking in the Stewart City Park. The individuals were advised of the park hours and asked to leave.

8:39 a.m. — The sheriff’s office and Minnesota Department of Natural Resources responded to a car-deer accident near a residence on 190th Street, west of Hutchinson. There were no injuries.

10:40 a.m. — Damaged mailboxes were reported by homeowners on 140th Street, northwest of Glencoe.

12:19 p.m. — Deputies responded to a requested welfare check at a residence on Eagle Avenue, northeast of Glencoe. Deputies mediated a situation.

1:44 p.m. — The county highway department was contacted after water was reported on the roadway in the area of 240th Street and Pilot Court, north of Hutchinson.

4:01 p.m. — Damage to a stop sign at Highway 212 and County Road 9, south of Plato, was reported. The Minnesota Department of Transportation was notified.

8:44 p.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a domestic situation at a residence on North Sunset Drive, northwest of Brownton. The situation was mediated.

MONDAY, AUG. 22

1:02 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department in search for a suspicious person near a residence on Abby Lane in Glencoe. Officers were unable to locate the person.

1:03 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Winsted Police Department with a medical at a residence on Fifth Street S in Winsted. Also responding were the Lester Prairie Police Department and Ridgeview Ambulance. There was no transport.

11:34 a.m. — Deputies responded to a domestic at a residence on Swan Lake Road, northwest of Silver Lake. The people were separated.

7:19 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Brownton First Responders and Allina Ambulance responded to a medical at Lake Marion Park, northwest of Brownton. A person was taken by ambulance to a hospital.

8:47 p.m. — A deputy mediated a neighbor dispute at a residence on Powers Street in Stewart.

10:02 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Winsted Police Department with a medical at a residence on Second Street S in Winsted. The Winsted First Responders and Ridgeview Ambulance also responded. A person taken to a detox facility.
