TUESDAY, MARCH 17

5:51 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with a domestic on Main Street in Hutchinson.

8:28 p.m. — A deputy, the Stewart First Responders and the Buffalo Lake Ambulance responded to a medical emergency on 30th Street, southeast of Stewart. A person was taken by ambulance to a hospital in New Ulm.

8:49 p.m. — The New Auburn Fire Department and the sheriff’s office responded to a structure fire on Leaf Avenue, southeast of Brownton. The fire was extinguished.

9:57 p.m. — A deputy assisted a stranded motorist and passengers on South Street in Stewart with obtaining motel rooms in Hutchinson for the night.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18

2:41 a.m. — The sheriff’s office, Winsted Police Department, Winsted First Responders and the Ridgeview Ambulance all responded to a medical emergency on Grass Lake Road, west of Winsted. The person was taken by ambulance to the Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia.

10:37 a.m. — A vehicle reportedly drove on some property on Herbert Street in Stewart. There was no damage.

11:03 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Stewart First Responders and Buffalo Lake Ambulance with a medical emergency on 641st Avenue in Sibley County, southwest of Stewart. A person was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

1:15 p.m. — A fire was reported at a hog barn in the area of Highway 22 and Highway 212, west of Glencoe. The owner extinguished the fire before emergency personnel arrived. Responding were the Glencoe Fire Department, sheriff’s office, Glencoe Police Department and the Glencoe Ambulance. There was no damage.

4:02 p.m. — A deputy came across a garbage dump in the area of 210th Street and Tagus Avenue, north of Hutchinson. The deputy made arrangements to have the garbage removed.

4:21 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Winsted Police Department with a reported assault at a business on Main Avenue W in Winsted. The situation was mediated.

5:36 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department in finding a missing person, who was located and returned home.

7:27 p.m. — A possible phone scam was reported at a residence on Bowman Street in Stewart. A deputy advised the reporting party of options for dealing with the scam.

THURSDAY, MARCH 19

5:24 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a car-deer accident on 150th Street, west of Yacht Avenue, southwest of Hutchinson. The vehicle was a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am, owned and driven by Theresa Ann Fischer, 53, of Gibbon. There were no injuries. A deer possession tag was issued to another individual.

5:50 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Winsted Police Department with a domestic disturbance on Sixth Street N in Winsted.

6:31 a.m. — Loose cattle were reported on the roadway in the area of Highway 7 and County Road 9, north of Lester Prairie. The cattle had been corralled before a deputy arrived.

10:13 a.m. — A resident on Second Street in Plato reported a possible phone scam.

12:55 p.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a domestic disturbance on Upsala Lane, north of Hutchinson. An individual was asked to leave the premises.

12:59 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Lester Prairie First Responders and Ridgeview Ambulance all responded to a medical on Castle Circle, northwest of Lester Prairie. A person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

2:19 p.m. — A resident on 80th Street, south of Glencoe, reported a possible phone scam.

3:44 p.m. — A deputy was called to a business on Highway 7 in Hutchinson for potentially fraudulent activity. The investigation will continue.

7:33 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with an individual at an apartment complex on Highway 15 S in Hutchinson. The person was taken by the Hutchinson Police Department to the mental health unit.

9:41 p.m. — A deputy responded to a car-deer accident on County Road 7, south of Tagus Avenue, south of Hutchinson. The vehicle was a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee, owned and driven by Robbie Nicholas Sheets, 30, of Stewart, who was not injured. Sheets was issued a deer possession tag for the deer.

11:18 p.m. — A deputy picked up a person walking in the area of Highway 22 and Highway 7, east of Hutchinson, and took the individual to a business in Hutchinson.

FRIDAY, MARCH 20

7:04 a.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Glencoe Police Department with a possible suicide attempt at a residence on 12th Street E in Glencoe. Also responding were the Glencoe Fire Department and Glencoe Ambulance. The person had passed away, and a death investigator was called to the scene.

11:10 a.m. — A deputy responded to a report of trash on the roadway in the area of 180th Street and Falcon Avenue, west of Lester Prairie, picked it up and disposed of it.

11:58 a.m. — Deputies assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with a physical domestic at a residence on Grove Street SW in Hutchinson.

4:25 p.m. — A deputy responded to a report of a phone scam at a residence on 80th Street, south of Glencoe.

4:39 p.m. — Loose cows were reported in the area of 40th Street and County Road 7, south of Stewart. A deputy assisted the owner in rounding them up.

7:35 p.m. — A deputy assisted with a child custody issue at a residence on Martha Street in Stewart.

8:12 p.m. — A deputy assisted the Glencoe Police Department and Glencoe Ambulance with a medical emergency on Baldwin Avenue in Glencoe. The person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

8:18 p.m. — A fire was reported on Falcon Avenue, north of Glencoe. The owner had a permit.

9:10 p.m. — A person was reported missing from a residence on Eagle Avenue, northeast of Glencoe. The individual was found.

SATURDAY, MARCH 21

12:57 a.m. — Deputies assisted the Hutchinson Police Department with a report of a person making threats at a business on Highway 7 E in Hutchinson. Deputies were unable to find the individual.

1:07 a.m. — The sheriff’s office responded to a report of an intoxicated person trying to get into a residence on 140th Street, northwest of Glencoe. The male was taken to the Brown County Detox Facility in New Ulm.

7:56 a.m. — A suspicious vehicle was reported in the area of Garden Avenue and 120th Street, north of Glencoe. A deputy made contact with the driver and issued citations.

4:17 p.m. — An out-of-control burn was reported on 80th Street, south of Glencoe. The Glencoe Fire Department extinguished the fire.

5:50 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Plato First Responders and Glencoe Ambulance responded to a medical emergency at a residence in the area of 90th Street and Dairy Avenue, east of Glencoe. A person was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

8:04 p.m. — Deputies responded to a report of a possible fire near a business on Highway 7 E in Hutchinson. It was a controlled burn. Deputies issued a verbal warning.

SUNDAY, MARCH 22

12:13 a.m. — A one-vehicle rollover was reported in the area of Yacht Avenue and 230th Street, northwest of Hutchinson. Responding were the sheriff’s office, Hutchinson Fire Department and Hutchinson Ambulance. The vehicle, a 2012 Ford Focus, owned and driven by Caleb Clarence Rannow, 34, of Hutchinson, had over $1,000 in damage. Rannow and two passengers were taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Rannow was then arrested for probable cause charge of driving while intoxicated and taken to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe.

4:14 a.m. — The sheriff’s office and Stewart Fire Department responded to a controlled burn that had reignited in the area of County Road 7 and 75th Street, east of Stewart. The fire was extinguished.

12:17 p.m. — An attempted phone scam was reported at an address on 175th Street, south of Lester Prairie.

5:55 p.m. — The sheriff’s office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol with a vehicle in a ditch in the area of Highway 212 and 95th Street, west of Glencoe. There was no damage and no injuries, and the vehicle was pulled out of the ditch.

6:15 p.m. — Deputies mediated a domestic disturbance on Main Street in Stewart.

7:23 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Winsted Police Department, Winsted First Responders and Ridgeview Ambulance all responded to a vehicle which hit a mailbox near a residence on 245th Street, east of Winsted. One person was taken by ambulance to the Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia. The vehicle, a 2005 Dodge Caravan, owned by Katie Barden and driven by Paul Larry Barden, 38, of Winsted, had over $1,000 in damage.

7:25 p.m. — The sheriff’s office and Lester Prairie Fire Department responded to a vehicle in a ditch in the area of 180th Street and Dairy Avenue, west of Lester Prairie. There were no injuries. The vehicle was a 2002 Jeep Liberty, owned by Yesenia Juarez-Ramirez and driven by Alberto Martinez-Ramirez, 33, of Arlington, and had over $1,000 in damage. A citation was issued.

7:50 p.m. — The sheriff’s office, Hutchinson Fire Department and Hutchinson Ambulance all responded to a vehicle in a ditch in the area of Highway 7 and Vale Avenue, west of Hutchinson. There were no injuries. The vehicle, a 2005 Chevrolet Uplander, owned by Kim Lampinen and driven by Sharon Lynn Lampinen, 58, both of Atlantic Mine, Mich., had over $1,000 in damage.

MONDAY, MARCH 23

7:52 a.m. — A theft was reported at a business on South Street in Stewart.

10:53 a.m. — A deputy checked on a vehicle in a ditch on North High Drive NW in Hutchinson. The driver had help on the way.

5:14 p.m. — A 15-year-old Plato juvenile was injured in a snowmobile accident in the area of 70th Street and Acorn Avenue, south of Plato. Responding were the sheriff’s office, Plato First Responders and the Glencoe Ambulance. The youth was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.

8:49 p.m. — A theft was reported at a residence on 190th Street, northwest of Lester Prairie.
