March 3 at 8:16 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to a medical on Thomas Ave, in Silver Lake. Silver Lake Ambulance and Silver Lake Fire also responded. No one was transported. The deputy cleared with a report.
March 3 at 11:17 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to a medical on 6th St N, in Winsted. Ridgeview Ambulance and Winsted Fire also responded. The deputy cleared with a case note.
March 3 at 11:44 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to a garbage dump in the area of 170th & Dairy Ave, southwest of Lester Prairie. The deputy cleared with a report to the Solid Waste Department.
March 3 at 3:11 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to a snowmobile accident on CR 9, east of Lester Prairie. Lester Prairie Fire, Lester Prairie Police, and Ridgeview Ambulance also assisted. The snowmobile is a 1996 Polaris HQ9929. The juvenile driver was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The deputies cleared with reports.

March 7 at 5:26 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of Hwy 7 & Babcock Ave, south of Winsted. Winsted Fire and Lester Prairie Fire also assisted. Vehicle #1 was a 2016 Ford Fusion, owned and driven by Douglas Hecksel, age 59, of Lester Prairie. Vehicle #2 was a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, owned and driven by Philip Kuenzel, age 56, of Plato. There were no injuries. The drivers were wearing seat belts. Both vehicles were removed with a tow. The deputies cleared with a MN State crash report.
March 7 at 7:54 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office spoke to an individual regarding a driving complaint in the area of Eagle Ave & 230th St, west of Winsted. The deputy located the individual, spoke with them and cleared with case notes.
March 7 at 7:54 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office spoke with an individual regarding a car vs deer crash that happened previously in the area of Tagus Ave & 220th St, north of Hutchinson. The driver was wearing a seat belt. The deputy cleared with case notes.

March 8 at 3:17 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to debris on the roadway in the area of CR 7 & Yacht Ave, northeast of Stewart. The deputies removed the debris and cleared with case notes.
March 8 at 3:51 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office assisted the Glencoe Police with a traffic stop in the area of Hwy 212 & Falcon Ave, on the east side of Glencoe. The deputy cleared with case notes.

It was determined that the individual was deceased. The Death Investigator and the local funeral home were requested to the scene. The deputies cleared with reports.

March 8 at 8:13 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle on Meeker/McLeod Ave, northwest of Hutchinson. As a result, Taylor Willner, age 22, of Litchfield, was arrested for probable cause 2nd & 5th degree assault and transported to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe. The deputies cleared with reports.
March 9 at 6:50 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to a medical on Page Ave, southeast of Hutchinson. Allina Ambulance also assisted. One individual was transported to the hospital. The deputy cleared with case notes.

Hutchinson Police, MN State Patrol and Allina Ambulance also assisted. The vehicle was a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer, owned by Andrea Wigern and driven by a 17 year old juvenile, of Hutchinson. There were no injuries. The driver was wearing a seat belt. The vehicle was removed with a tow. The deputy cleared with a MN State crash report.

As a result, Cale Schwarzrock, age 37, was arrested for probable cause DWI and transported to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe. The deputies cleared with reports.
